If you changed your phone number and find that your old number is no longer active when logging in to Binance and you cannot receive the verification code, don't worry. As long as you remember your account password and have another available verification method, you can bypass the old phone number and update it. If you don't have another verification method, you can also solve it through the official manual appeal. Below are two guides based on your situation.

Case A: You can still log in to your account
Goal: Log in with another verification method, then directly change the bound phone number.
Steps:
Open the Binance App, tap the profile icon in the top left corner to enter "Account Center", then tap "Security".
Find "Phone Number" and tap the edit icon next to it.
The system will ask you to complete 2FA. Note that you do not need the old phone number here. At the bottom of the page, there is a "Switch to another verification method" link. Tap it to use email verification or Google Authenticator instead.
After verification passes, enter the new phone number you want to bind, receive the code, and submit.
Done when: The page shows "New phone number has been verified," and the phone number in Security has been updated to the new one.
Risk control notice: After changing your phone number, withdrawals, internal transfers, and C2C transactions will be paused for 24 to 48 hours. This is a platform security mechanism, not a problem with your account. During this time, you can trade normally but cannot withdraw funds yet.
Case B: You cannot log in and have no available 2FA
Goal: Use Binance's official manual appeal process and verify your identity to reset the phone number.
Steps:
On the login page, tap "Cannot receive verification code" or a similar option, then choose "Reset through appeal."
Follow the system instructions to submit identity verification materials, which usually include:
The identity document used at registration (front and back photos)
A photo of you holding your ID and a current newspaper or making a required gesture
Recent transaction screenshots to prove the account is used by you
Submit and wait for customer service review. Processing usually takes 48-72 hours.
Done when: You receive an official Binance email or App push notice saying the appeal passed. You can then set a new phone number.
Common reasons for failure
Reason 1: You cannot find the "Switch to another verification method" entry This button only appears in the verification pop-up, not on the main Security page. When the "Enter verification code" window appears during the phone number change, look carefully at the bottom of the window. There is usually a small gray text link.
Reason 2: No response after submitting the appeal Check whether the ID photos you submitted are clear and whether the photo of you holding your ID meets the requirements. Also, during the appeal, Binance customer service will not actively call you. All notices are sent through App push and your registered email. Check your spam folder too.
Reason 3: The new phone number is already bound to another Binance account One phone number can only be bound to one Binance account. If your new number is a recycled number and the previous user bound it to Binance, you need to contact customer service to remove the old link, or use a different number.
Risk reminder: During the appeal, you will be asked to provide a lot of personal information. Make sure you are visiting the official Binance website binance.com or its compliant domain. Do not click any "customer support" link sent by a third party. Binance will never ask for your password or verification code through Telegram, WeChat, or phone calls.

How to check that the change is complete
After the phone number change is successful, try logging in with the new number to confirm you can receive the code and log in. Then go to Security and check the phone number field. It should show the last four digits of the new number.
If the page shows a 24-48 hour withdrawal freeze, do not rush to transfer funds. Wait for the time to end, then operate as needed.
