If the trader you are copying suddenly shows the prompt "Trader has paused leading trades" during sharp market swings, do not panic first. The system usually automatically processes your open positions within 3 minutes.

Traders pausing or stopping trade leading in the Binance copy trading system falls into two main scenarios. You can follow the on-page prompt to take corresponding actions.
First Scenario: Trader Temporarily Pauses Trade Leading
If the status shows "Paused", it usually means the trader is adjusting risk control settings or transferring large amounts of funds. You need to confirm if your current open positions will be affected.
Your positions at this time: Will keep their current state, and will not be automatically closed out.
New order operations: Any new positions the trader opens during the pause will not be synced to your account.
What you should do: Check your "Current Positions" list. If your pre-set stop loss or take profit is not triggered, it is recommended to manually adjust your stop loss level to avoid expanded risk from volatile market moves. Once the trader's status is restored, trade sync will resume automatically.
Second Scenario: Trader Permanently Stops Leading Trades
If the trader stops leading entirely (such as account deactivation or voluntary shutdown), or is forcibly stopped by Binance's risk control system due to excessive drawdown, the platform will usually trigger its automatic processing mechanism.
System automatic processing: The platform will generally close all your positions following this trader at market price automatically. This process is usually completed within 3 minutes after the trigger.
Manual processing (backup solution): If you notice the system did not close positions automatically, or you worry about excessive slippage from market price closing, you can close positions manually the same way you operate regular futures contracts. After manual operation, the system will stop its automatic execution process.
Risk Reminder: When the system executes automatic market close, the final execution price may differ from your expectation if there is insufficient liquidity or extreme price wicks. If you have strict requirements on execution price, manual closing is a more reliable choice.

Confirm Processing Result
No matter you wait for the system to process or close positions manually, you should finally go to [Copy Trading] → [My Copy Trading] → [History Records] to check the status.
If the "Close PnL" and "Close Price" columns show valid data, it means the processing is completed, and your funds have been returned to your futures account.
If there are still unclosed positions, it is recommended to process them manually immediately.
Verification method after operation: Confirm all positions under that specific trader show the "Closed" status in both your "Current Positions" list and "History Records". After closing, remember to check your futures account to confirm the funds are received correctly.
