How to Issue Binance Gift Cards? Business Eligibility and Bulk Distribution

Personal accounts can no longer create Binance Gift Cards. Since July 20, 2023, only accounts that have completed corporate verification can create and transfer gift cards. If you are a business user, you need to complete corporate verification and sign a gift card distribution agreement first. If you are an individual user, you can only buy or redeem gift cards, not issue them yourself.

Two Hard Requirements for Business Eligibility

To qualify for creating gift cards, you must meet both of the following conditions:

Condition 1: Corporate account + corporate verification. Even if a personal account has completed identity verification, it does not have creation permission. You need to register a Binance corporate account and complete Entity Verification. Before registering a corporate account, you need to log out of your current personal account first; otherwise, you cannot enter the corporate account registration process.

Condition 2: Sign a gift card distribution agreement. After completing corporate verification, you also need to contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to get the agreement template and sign the gift card distribution agreement. Without this step, you cannot use the creation feature even if your account status is normal.

If your business is located in Spain, Italy, France, Poland, or Sweden, you also need to complete additional supplementary verification before you can create gift cards. Business users in other regions who need to create gift cards are advised to email the address above to confirm the current policy, because the list of regional restrictions may change with regulatory adjustments.

Bulk Creation Methods

After meeting the eligibility requirements, there are two technical paths for bulk distribution: bulk creation on the web and API creation. The former is suitable for scenarios where the quantity is not fixed and manual adjustment is needed. The latter is suitable for scenarios where the quantity is large and you need to embed the feature into your own system.

Bulk Creation on the Web

After logging into your corporate account, go to the Binance Gift Card page and select Create Now → Bulk Create. Choose the currency, set the denomination and total quantity of each card, confirm, and then enter your 2FA to complete the purchase. Funds are deducted from your spot or funding wallet.

The order status will show as Pending, and the generation process may take up to 30 minutes. After the status changes to Success, you can view the full card list and download it on the Bulk Order page. By default, cards are unlocked. You can use the Bulk Lock feature to lock cards as needed.

Note: Currently, the Binance App only supports sending gift cards one at a time. Bulk distribution needs to be done on the web or through API integration.

API Creation

If your business needs to embed gift card generation into your own platform or system, you can set up the Binance Gift Card API. The path is Profile → API Management, where you can create a dedicated API Key for gift cards.

The API supports two modes: single-token gift cards (created with a stablecoin, and the recipient redeems the same stablecoin) and dual-token gift cards (created with a stablecoin, and the recipient redeems a designated token, such as creating with USDC and the recipient receiving an equivalent value in BTC). Limits, Validity, and Distribution Restrictions

The maximum denomination per card is 500 USDT equivalent. Corporate accounts also have monthly creation amount and quantity limits. The default limits are set based on the account situation. If you need to increase them, you need to contact your account manager or email to apply for an adjustment.

Gift cards have an expiration date. For cards created after April 10, 2024, the validity period is 6 months from the creation date. After expiration, the balance is void. You can see the specific expiration date of each card in the merchant backend. This means you need to plan your distribution schedule when creating cards in bulk to avoid cards expiring before they reach users.

Recipients do not need to have a Binance account. Gift cards are prepaid vouchers. After receiving a card, a person can redeem it after registering a Binance account. They are not required to have an account in advance.

Regional Restrictions Will Directly Affect Your Distribution Plan

Both creation and redemption of gift cards have regional restrictions, and the two restriction lists are not exactly the same. Some countries or regions prohibit creation, some prohibit redemption, and some prohibit both.

Creation-restricted regions include: the United States and its territories, Canada, Australia, Japan, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Bahrain, Dubai, Russia, and Crimea, among others.

Redemption-restricted regions add Singapore on top of that list, and some parts of Ukraine are also on the redemption restriction list.

These lists are not permanently fixed and may change with local regulations. If your recipients are distributed across different countries, you need to check region by region whether redemption is currently supported. If a user's region does not support redemption, the gift card you send them cannot be used.

What Individual Users Can Do

Although personal accounts cannot create gift cards, they can still send and redeem gift cards created by others. If you just want to send a crypto red packet to a friend, you can buy ready-made cards from Binance gift card merchants or receive cards transferred by others.

The redemption path is: Binance App → Profile → Gift Card → Redeem, and enter the 16-digit redemption code. Note that the redemption code is an alphanumeric 16-character string, not a purely numeric card number. If you get an error after entering it, first confirm that you are using the redemption code and not the card number used for checking, and whether this card has already been added to your account before.

Things to Confirm Before Bulk Distribution

Before you invest funds in bulk creation, check the following four points in order:

Whether corporate verification has been approved and whether the gift card distribution agreement has been signed. Without these two items, the creation entry will not be open to you.
Whether your target distribution regions are on the redemption restriction list. If the recipient's region does not support redemption, the card cannot be sent out.
Whether your distribution schedule matches the card validity period. The 6 months starts from the creation date, not from the sending date.
Whether your monthly limit is sufficient. The default limit may not cover your distribution plan. Applying for an adjustment in advance saves more time than getting stuck temporarily.
