Binance Account Service Entity: Where to Check? Region Migration Guide

Binance's service entity depends on your registered region and KYC country. Simply go to the Identity Verification page and look at the company name shown at the top. If you need to move to a new region, the entry point is on the same page. But you can't just change it freely — switching your country of residence involves a legal entity change and a full KYC reset.

Step 1: Check Your Current Service Entity on the Identity Verification Page

Log into the Binance official website, hover over your profile avatar in the top-right corner, click [Account] and go to the [Identity Verification] page. At the top of the page, you will see your current country/region of residence and your KYC level status. This country is what Binance uses to determine your service entity — based on your registered residence, Binance assigns you to the appropriate regulated entity for service.

Starting January 5, 2026, Binance's global operations have moved under the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) regulatory framework, with three entities sharing the work: Nest Exchange Services Limited (trading platform, spot/derivatives), Nest Clearing and Custody Limited (clearing and custody), and Nest Trading Limited (OTC and Earn products). Your specific service entity is determined by your country of residence, and the page will clearly display it.

Completion standard: See your current country/region of residence at the top of the Identity Verification page.

High-risk warning: If your country of residence does not match your actual situation (for example, you moved but didn't update it), you may lose access to certain products, and important notifications may not reach you. Regulations vary greatly between regions. After changing your residence, some products you previously used may become restricted, while you may also gain access to new products — it all depends on local regulations.

Step 2: Start Region Migration Through the "Edit Address" Option

After moving to a new country/region, you need to update your address to trigger a KYC reset and legal entity switch. The entry point is on the Identity Verification page — scroll down and find the [Edit Address] button.

Process:

  1. Click [Edit Address], select your new country/region of residence, and click [Continue].
  2. Fill in your detailed address information (street, city, postal code, etc.) and click [Continue].
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to upload proof of address (a utility bill, bank statement, etc. from the last 3 months).
  4. Submit and wait for review, which usually takes 1-2 business days.

Common reasons for failure: Many people think they are just updating an address field, but then realize the entire KYC must be redone. When your country of residence changes, Binance must ensure your account complies with the specific regulations of the new region, so a full identity verification reset is triggered. It's not just a simple address change — you have to go through the complete identity verification process again, including uploading ID documents and completing facial recognition.

Completion standard: After submitting your proof of address, the system shows "Submitted, under review." Once approved, the country of residence at the top of the page will update to the new region.

Risk reminder: After changing your country of residence, you may no longer be able to use certain products from your previous region. For example, futures trading may be restricted in certain areas. Before migrating, it's recommended to check which products are supported in the new region first. Due to rules related to the UK financial promotion regime, you cannot change your residence to the United Kingdom in the short term.

Step 3: Confirm Your New Service Entity and Check Product Availability

Once the review is approved, go back to the top of the Identity Verification page. The service entity name should now reflect the entity for your new region. At this point, you need to verify your product permissions under the new region.

How to verify completion: The Identity Verification page shows "Verified" status, and your country of residence is updated to the new region. Try accessing your commonly used trading products (spot/futures/earn) to make sure they work. If some products are unavailable, contact online customer support through the official Binance app to check the specific product list for your new region.
