When you deposit to a network that is suspended, your money is not lost, but it will be stuck on the way. Do not panic. You just need to know where to check the status and how to avoid it.

Step 1: Check the Status Directly on the Deposit Page
Before you deposit, look at the notice Binance shows on the page.
Binance App: Tap Wallets at the bottom → Spot, then tap the 'Deposit' button in the top right corner. After you choose the coin, the app will show a list of supported networks. If a network shows 'Under maintenance' or 'Suspended', it cannot be used right now.
Website: Use the same path: Wallet → Deposit. Choose the coin and check the network list. For suspended networks, the 'Deposit' button is gray and cannot be clicked.
During maintenance, Binance only pauses deposits and withdrawals. Trading (buying and selling) is not affected and works normally.
Step 2: Check the Announcement Page for Maintenance Time
If the page shows 'Suspended' and you want to know when it will recover, go to the official announcement page. It has the most accurate information.
Where to go: Open the Announcement section on the Binance website or app (usually at the bottom of the page or in the side menu). Search for 'network upgrade' or 'wallet maintenance'.
What to read: After you find the announcement for your coin, it will show the 'suspension time' and 'expected completion time'. For example, a BTC wallet maintenance notice usually says 'estimated to take 1 hour'.
Note: Do not rely only on third-party price apps or social media messages. The most accurate information is only in Binance official announcements. Third-party content may be delayed or inaccurate.
Step 3: Switch to Another Available Network
If the deposit page shows multiple networks (like ERC20 or BEP20) and one of them is suspended, simply switch to another one.
How to do it: In the network dropdown menu on the deposit page, look for networks without a 'Suspended' tag. Choose a supported one and copy the address to send your funds.
How to check: If the page can generate a complete deposit address with no error popup, then that network is currently available.
Risk Warning: A Network That Is Completely Removed Is Worse Than a Suspension
'Stop support' is more serious than 'temporary maintenance'. Some networks are not under temporary maintenance. Binance has decided to completely stop supporting deposits and withdrawals on that network.
These announcements are released in advance. The notice will clearly state that after the specified time, deposits sent through the removed network will not be credited to your account and may cause asset loss. If you miss the announcement and keep sending money to that old network, your assets will most likely not be recovered, and Binance will not assist with processing.

How to Verify After You Finish
After you choose a network and copy the address, go to your sending platform and make the transfer. Then return to Binance Wallet → Transaction History to check whether the deposit record appears. If it stays in 'Pending' or 'Waiting for confirmation' for more than 1 hour, check the announcement page to see if you hit a maintenance window.
