First, check one number: how much the transfer itself is worth.

The Binance Accelerator fee is not fixed. After you enter the transaction ID (TxID), the system gives you a real-time quote based on current network congestion and the size of the transaction. Third-party tests show the average Binance Accelerator fee is about $45. If your transfer is $100, paying $45 to speed it up means the cost takes half of the amount. If the amount is $10,000, $45 is only 0.45%.
So the first judgment is simple: if the transfer amount itself is not large, it is not worth paying to accelerate.
Why your transaction is stuck — check this before deciding
The most common reason a BTC transfer gets stuck is that the miner fee you originally set was lower than the current average network level. Miners prioritize transactions with higher fees, so your transaction waits further back in the mempool.
Go to a blockchain explorer and check your TxID. Look at a few key details: whether the confirmation count is 0, and roughly where this transaction stands in the mempool. If the network is only briefly congested and your fee is not absurdly low, waiting may be the most reasonable choice. A BTC transaction can stay in the mempool for up to about two weeks before it is dropped, and your funds will not be lost.
What the Binance Accelerator actually does
The Binance Accelerator essentially helps you make up the miner fee difference so mining pools will prioritize packing your transaction. The process is: log in to your Binance account, find Mining Pool or BTC Transaction Accelerator, paste the TxID, confirm the fee, and pay.
There are several unavoidable limitations:
- No cancellation and no refund. Once you pay the acceleration fee, the fee is not refunded regardless of whether the transaction is actually accelerated.
- No specific time guarantee. The official wording is that it "increases the possibility of faster confirmation," not that it will definitely be completed in the next block.
- A Binance account is required. If you are not a Binance user, you need to register first, or contact them through the channel shown on the page. Regular users can coordinate via Telegram.
Free alternative: RBF
If you initiated the transfer yourself, for example from your own wallet, and the wallet supports RBF (Replace-By-Fee), this is a lower-cost option. RBF allows you to send a new transaction using the same funds with a higher miner fee. Miners will prioritize the new transaction, and the original one will be replaced.
You only need to pay the miner fee difference between the new transaction and the original one. You do not need to pay Binance an extra "acceleration service fee." The trade-off is one extra step: your wallet must support RBF, and the original transaction must have been marked as RBF when it was sent.
Judge by situation
Situation 1: You withdrew from Binance to an external wallet, and the transaction has been broadcast but not confirmed.
Binance does not support changing the miner fee of a transaction that has already been broadcast. In this case, the Accelerator is the most direct option within the Binance ecosystem, but it is still limited by cost and uncertainty. If the amount is not large, waiting is more cost-effective.
Situation 2: You sent the transaction from your own wallet, and the wallet supports RBF.
Use RBF first. The cost is lower, and you keep control. The Binance Accelerator is a backup for situations where RBF is inconvenient or you do not know how to use it.
Situation 3: You are the recipient. Someone is sending you money, and the transaction is stuck.
You cannot use RBF because you do not have the private key. The recipient can try CPFP (Child Pays for Parent). The idea is to spend a high-fee "child transaction" to push the "parent transaction" to be confirmed. But this requires a wallet that supports spending funds from an unconfirmed transaction, which has a higher operational threshold. Binance Accelerator can also be used for someone else's transaction, as long as you have the TxID.
