Step 1: Find the "Personal Information Correction" Appeal Entry
This entry is separate from the usual "Update Documents" or "Reset KYC" options. It's an independent channel.
What to do: Go directly to Binance's "Personal Information Correction Appeal" page, or log in and search for "Name/Birthday Correction" in the Help Center, then click the related appeal link.
Completion standard: The page title you see is "Personal Information Correction Appeal", with clear options to choose the content you need to correct.
Step 2: Select the Correct Appeal Reason – Date of Birth Recognition Error
After entering the appeal page, the system will ask you to choose the type of correction. For a wrong birth date, you must select "My date of birth is wrongly recognized".
Risk reminder: There are multiple appeal reasons on this page. If you choose the wrong one (for example, expired document update or regular KYC appeal), your request will likely be rejected due to "mismatched reason" and you'll have to resubmit.
After selecting the right reason, follow the on-screen instructions to upload your ID or passport photo, a selfie holding the document, etc. After submission, Binance will perform manual review, which usually takes longer than automatic machine checks.
Completion standard: You have submitted the appeal and received a confirmation email or system receipt.
Step 3: Know Your Account Status During the Update
After submitting a birth date or name correction request, your account will be temporarily limited to "Withdrawal Only" mode. Spot trading, quick buy/sell and other functions will be unavailable until the review is approved.
Completion standard: You clearly understand that the account is restricted during the waiting period and do not attempt to open new positions or trade.

How to Check Your Correction Progress
After submitting the appeal, track progress through these two channels:
- Check the registration email you used when submitting the appeal. Binance support will notify you of the review result by email;
- Log into your account and return to the verification page to see if your current identity verification status has changed from "Pending Review" to "Verified".
If you don't receive a response for a long time (more than 7 business days), you can contact Binance Live Chat to ask about the progress, providing the ticket number from your appeal.
Next steps: After the appeal is approved, go to the verification center to confirm if the birth date field has been corrected. Once the information is updated, you can resume daily trading. It's recommended to save a screenshot of the corrected information to avoid future questions about inconsistent data.
