When a fiat deposit order shows 'Expired' but your bank already deducted the money, don't panic – the funds are not lost, they are just stuck in the settlement process between the bank and Binance. You need to submit payment proof through Binance's appeal channel so the platform can manually verify the deposit.
Step 1: Verify Order Status and Deduction
First, check the exact status of your order. Not all 'Expired' orders require an appeal.
Situation A: Order status is 'ON_RAMP_FAILED' (Fiat Purchase Failed)
According to Binance API documentation, status code 97 means 'Fiat Purchase Failed'.
This means the transaction did not succeed on Binance. The bank deduction is only a pre-authorization or temporary hold, which is usually automatically refunded within several business days.
Situation B: Order status is 'FAILED' or 'Expired' but bank has actually deducted
In fiat order history, the status may show 'Failed' or 'Expired'.
In this case, you must actively submit an appeal because the money has left your account, but Binance did not receive the corresponding deposit confirmation.
Completion standard: You can see the clear status of this order on the 'Fiat Orders' page. If the status is 'Failed' and the bank has deducted, proceed with the appeal process.
Common failure reason: Many people repeatedly submit appeals when they see 'Expired', but the first appeal may be rejected due to incomplete materials. Before submitting, make sure the bank statement has a clear deduction record and transaction number.
Step 2: Submit Fiat Deposit Appeal through the Correct Channel
Path 1: Initiate directly from order history (fastest)
Log into your Binance account, go to [Orders] → [Fiat Orders];
Find the deposit order with abnormal status, click the [Appeal] button on the right;
Fill in the appeal information as prompted on the screen.
Path 2: Submit through the Help Center
Log into your Binance account, go to the Help Center, select 'Fiat Deposit Not Credited Appeal';
Fill in deposit details: currency, payment method, amount, transfer date.
Materials you must prepare when submitting:
Bank account name (must match the name on your Binance identity verification)
Full bank account number
Recipient name and account number
Transaction currency and amount related to Binance
Risk warning: The bank deduction proof must show the full bank account number (no covering). The recipient information must match your Binance identity verification. If the bank account name does not match your KYC name on Binance, the appeal will be rejected.
Step 3: After Submitting the Appeal
Completion standard: After submission, you will receive an email or SMS confirmation. Customer service will notify you of the result via SMS or email after investigation.
If the appeal is rejected: Check whether the bank statement you submitted clearly showed the full account number and recipient information. The first rejection doesn't necessarily mean funds are at risk – it may be due to incomplete materials.
Verification After Operation
After appeal: Log into Binance, go to [Orders] → [Fiat Orders], check if the order status has changed from 'Expired' to 'Successful' or 'Refunded';
Funds credited: Check your spot wallet balance to see if it has been updated;
Refund received: If you chose a refund, check if your bank account has received the returned funds.
Next step: If you haven't received a reply more than 7 business days after submitting the appeal, contact Binance live chat with your ticket number to check progress. Keep the bank deduction screenshot and the appeal submission receipt until the funds are confirmed credited or returned.
