Should You Enable OKX Wallet Auto-Confirm? Scope, Limits, and How to Turn It Off

Whether you should enable Auto-Confirm depends on which type of account you are using. Trader mode accounts have it enabled by default and cannot turn it off, while regular EOA accounts can choose for themselves. If you want a "click and go" experience, you can turn it on. If you feel safer seeing a wallet pop-up confirmation for every transaction, then leave it off. I would suggest regular EOA account users try it for a while first, because it only takes effect when placing orders on OKX DEX. Transfers, approvals, NFT transactions, and DeFi operations are not affected, so the risk boundary is fairly clear.

What Auto-Confirm Actually Skips

Once enabled, when you place a market order or limit order on OKX DEX, the system automatically completes the signature confirmation for you. You do not need to enter your password, use Face ID or fingerprint verification, or trigger a browser extension signature every time. Simply put, it compresses "place order → wallet pop-up → confirm → on-chain broadcast" into "place order → on-chain broadcast".

It does not let you skip the risks of the trade itself. Price, slippage, and gas fees remain exactly what they are. Auto-Confirm only removes the manual signature step.

Scope: Which Transactions Can Use It and Which Cannot

Supported by Auto-Confirm: market orders and limit orders on OKX DEX, as well as order management actions such as canceling pending orders. Supported chains include SOL and all EVM chains on the App, while the Web version additionally supports SUI.

Not supported by Auto-Confirm: transfers, approvals, NFT trades, DeFi interactions, and other scenarios. These operations still require your manual signature confirmation. This boundary is important: Auto-Confirm does not touch your asset transfers or contract approvals. Those high-risk operations still have manual verification as a safety net.

Limits and Safety Mechanisms: Not Fully "Hands-Free" Once Enabled

Auto-Confirm has several layers of restrictions you should know about:

Daily limit. The App has a daily trading limit. Transactions exceeding the limit cannot be auto-confirmed, and the limit refreshes every day at UTC+0. This means large transactions will still trigger manual verification. The official documentation does not give a fixed number for the limit, so follow the on-screen prompt when you operate.

Active period restriction. On the App, Auto-Confirm only works while the App remains active. After the App has been in the background for a while, the process is closed, or a certain amount of time has passed, the first transaction will require biometric verification again.

Device binding. Auto-Confirm only works on the current verified device. After switching devices, you need to import your seed phrase again or use password verification.

Plugin wallet lock. On the browser extension side, Auto-Confirm only takes effect when placing orders on the official OKX Wallet website while the wallet is unlocked. Once the wallet is locked, the feature pauses and you need to unlock it first.

Device risk detection. If the App detects that your phone has software installed that may modify application behavior, such as plugin frameworks like Xposed or LSPosed, packet capture or debugging tools like HttpCanary, or app cloning or multi-instance tools, Auto-Confirm will be automatically disabled. The system is designed this way because such software may tamper with transaction content in the background, such as changing the recipient address or amount. Even if the information you see on screen is correct, the transaction actually submitted may have been altered. If this happens, you need to uninstall or disable the related software, restart your phone, and then reopen the App.

How to Turn It On or Off: By Account Type

Regular EOA account (App): Open OKX DEX, tap the settings icon in the top right corner, find Auto-Confirm, and turn it on or off.

Regular EOA account (Web or extension): Click the wallet account name in the top right corner of the OKX Wallet webpage, select Auto-Confirm, set the lock screen time, and enable it. Alternatively, go to extension settings > wallet lock > Auto-Confirm to toggle it.

Trader mode account: Enabled by default and cannot be turned off. This applies to both Web and App. If you are using trader mode, Auto-Confirm is part of the trading flow you accept.

A Practical Suggestion

If you enable Auto-Confirm for speed, remember that transfers and approvals still require manual signature. This is an intentional safety boundary kept by OKX. Auto-Confirm does not touch your asset transfers or contract permissions. For operations that truly involve asset risk, you still need to review and confirm them yourself.
