You can use OKX Wallet to mint NFTs on Manifold. OKX Wallet handles the connection and payments, while Manifold handles creating the contract and minting. For selling, you go back to the OKX NFT marketplace or Manifold Gallery to list. In this whole process, OKX is not the minting platform, and Manifold is not the selling channel.

What You Actually Need to Prepare
Before you start, confirm three things:
You have ETH on the mainnet in your OKX Wallet. Manifold Studio currently supports deploying on the Ethereum mainnet. Deploying a contract and minting tokens both require gas, and on-chain transactions only accept the native token of the network. Your OKX Wallet Ethereum address must have enough ETH.
Decide whether to use ERC-721 or ERC-1155. Manifold Studio supports both standards. Choose ERC-721 for a single unique work, or ERC-1155 for a series or multiple editions. This choice must be made when creating the contract and cannot be changed later.
Prepare your artwork files. Manifold supports images, videos, audio, 3D models, and HTML pages. Files are first uploaded to decentralized storage like Arweave, and then on-chain metadata is generated.
Creating a Contract and Minting with OKX Wallet
The entry point for Manifold Studio is studio.manifold.xyz. After connecting with OKX Wallet, you will enter a creator dashboard.
The first step is creating a contract. Click "New contract" and fill in the contract name, symbol, and ASCII mark. The contract name becomes the on-chain identifier for your collection, and all tokens minted from this contract will be under this name. After confirming the information, initiate the deployment transaction and sign with OKX Wallet to pay for gas.
After the contract is deployed, enter that contract's Dashboard and select "Mint a token". Manifold offers several minting modes:
- Single token (1/1): A single unique work
- Edition: A limited edition with multiple copies
- Batch: Mint multiple different works at once
Upload the media file, fill in the title and description, set attributes, and then choose the receiving address. If you plan to list it for sale on the OKX NFT marketplace, choose "Mint to self" here and mint the token to your own OKX wallet address. Only fill in another address if you want to airdrop the token to someone else.
After confirming the information, initiate the minting transaction, sign with OKX Wallet, and wait for it to be confirmed on-chain. Once minting is complete, the token will appear in your OKX Wallet NFT assets.
Selling on the OKX NFT Marketplace
The OKX NFT marketplace aggregates listing entries from multiple trading platforms, including its own marketplace and OpenSea.
Find the token you minted in your OKX Wallet NFT assets, enter the details page, and select "List" or "Sell". You need to set a few parameters:
Price and currency. Set the price you want to sell for and choose to price it in ETH or other supported tokens.
Listing platform. OKX supports multi-platform listing. You can list the same NFT on OKX's own marketplace, OpenSea, LooksRare, Magic Eden, and others at the same time. OKX's own NFT marketplace currently does not charge a service fee.
Validity period. The default is 7 days, and you can adjust it.
An approval transaction is required the first time you list. This allows the marketplace contract to transfer your NFT and requires gas. After the approval is complete, you do not need to approve again for subsequent listings from the same collection.
After confirming everything is correct, submit it and sign with OKX Wallet. Once listed successfully, the NFT will appear in the listings of the corresponding marketplace. NFTs you mint on OKX's own marketplace need to be reviewed before they are publicly displayed, while those bought from the secondary market do not.
Where Exactly Do the Fees Occur
Manifold itself does not charge platform fees or royalty commissions. All fees you pay come from on-chain gas:
Deploying the contract: A one-time gas fee that depends on the current Ethereum network congestion.
Minting tokens: You pay gas each time you mint. If you batch mint multiple items, the gas adds up.
Listing approval: The first time you list on a marketplace, you need an approval transaction and pay gas once.
Canceling a listing: Manually canceling a listed NFT requires gas. The exact amount is shown on the page.
At the time of sale: Royalties are set by the contract creator and collected when the sale happens. If you set a royalty, part of the buyer's payment goes to you, but the platform itself does not take an extra cut.
Common Issues
The OKX marketplace may not show your contract immediately after deployment. OKX's indexer takes from a few minutes to longer to fetch metadata for newly deployed contracts. If you cannot find it on the OKX marketplace right after minting, wait a while and check again.
ERC-721 and ERC-1155 compatibility. Both can be listed on the OKX NFT marketplace, but some marketplaces may not display ERC-1155 as intuitively as ERC-721. If your work is a single piece with higher value, ERC-721 is the safer choice.
Listing does not mean sold. Creating a listing only creates a sales entry point. Buyers need to actively come and buy. The OKX marketplace aggregates liquidity from multiple platforms, but exposure does not equal demand.
NFT display in OKX Wallet depends on market indexing. If the contract or token you minted has not been indexed by OKX's indexer, it may not show in your wallet. In this case, you can use a block explorer to confirm the token is indeed under your address, then wait for the index to update or list directly through the marketplace page.
