After your grid strategy triggers a stop loss, it will NOT restart on its own. Once the stop loss is fully executed, the trading bot stops running completely, with no built-in automatic recovery logic at all. The system will never reactivate the strategy for you, even if prices pull back later or a new day starts.
If you want to keep using the grid strategy, you can only restart it manually, and you need to check your account status first before restarting.
What happens after the stop loss is triggered?
The moment the stop loss triggers, the bot does two things immediately: first, it stops all ongoing strategy operations, second, it closes all existing pending orders and open positions. When you see the status of this grid strategy marked as "Terminated" in your "Current Orders" section, it means all funds have been settled back to your spot account. You only need to manually cancel any leftover pending orders to make all funds fully available for use.
How to restart the strategy? First confirm your funds and coins are intact
Restarting the strategy is not as simple as just clicking the "Start" button. After stop loss closes your positions, the coin proportion in your account may no longer match your initial setup: for example, if you originally held half USDT and half BTC, you may end up with 100% USDT or only BTC after the stop loss closes. If you restart the strategy directly using the original price range, it may fail due to insufficient funds or mismatched coin ratio.
Before restarting, we recommend you check your holdings first: enter the [Spot Account] page, and confirm the respective balance of the two coins in this trading pair. If the coin ratio is far off from the required value, you can manually place a few orders to adjust the ratio first, or create a brand new strategy with a more suitable price range instead of forcing a restart of the old terminated strategy.

How to avoid frequent stop loss triggers?
If your last stop loss was triggered by unexpected price volatility far beyond your expectation, you can set a wider stop loss line or expand your grid price range when creating a new strategy, to leave more operational space for the bot. If your investment amount was too small to get meaningful profit per grid that justifies the risk, you can consider increasing your total investment amount appropriately before launching the strategy.
