OKX has more than one Earn product. Flexible, fixed, and On-chain Earn use different interest calculation and payout rules.

A leading global cryptocurrency platform, suitable for both beginners and experienced traders.
New user benefit: 20% off trading fees upon registration!!
The simplest case: Simple Earn flexible pays hourly.
If you subscribe to OKX Simple Earn flexible, the rule is fixed: interest is settled hourly and paid out after a one-hour delay.
Here is an example: if you subscribe successfully at 7:30, the system starts matching borrowing demand at 8:00. If your funds are lent successfully between 8:00 and 9:00, the related interest will be paid to your account between 9:00 and 10:00.
Also, this product does not always earn interest just because you deposit. It has a "minimum lending APR" setting. The system runs an hourly auction based on "highest rate first, earliest time first." If the auction succeeds, interest accrues hourly. If it fails, you earn nothing for that hour.
There is also a hidden cost in Earn: 15% of interest income is deducted by the platform as a risk reserve, so you actually receive 85%.
Case A: Simple Earn flexible
[What to do]: Check whether your funds were lent successfully and whether interest arrived.
[How to do it]: Open the OKX app → Assets → Earn, and find your order. If it shows "Match successful," your funds have been lent and interest should arrive at the next full hour. If it keeps showing "Matching," the auction did not succeed and you earn nothing for now.
[Done when]: You can see each hourly payout entry in the earnings history.
Case B: On-chain Earn / DeFi products
These products follow a very different schedule from flexible products and usually do not pay hourly.
[What to do]: Check the subscription page for the specific product.
[How to do it]: Open OKX → Explore → Earn → choose the specific product, then read the "Interest rules" or "FAQ" on that page. Different protocols can vary a lot:
PoS staking: rewards may be paid daily, weekly, or together with your principal at redemption.
DeFi products: they usually arrive in the afternoon after redemption, around 20:00 UTC+8.
[Done when]: You have confirmed the product's specific payout cycle on its detail page.
Case C: Fixed / exclusive products (such as "Crypto Savings")
The schedule is more fixed, usually pays daily, and has clear subscription and redemption time windows.
[What to do]: Check whether the interest start time has passed.
[How to do it]: Take BTC Crypto Savings as an example: if you subscribe before 16:00 UTC+8, interest starts that day and is paid around 16:00 the next day; if you subscribe after 16:00, interest starts the next day and is paid on the third day.
[Done when]: Compare your subscription time and confirm whether interest was credited on the expected date.
Common reasons for no earnings
Your funds were not lent out: Flexible products need matching borrowing demand. If your "minimum lending APR" is set too high, above the rate the market is willing to pay, the system will not lend your funds, so you earn nothing.
You missed the 15% deduction: The "annualized yield" shown by the platform is usually the figure before the deduction. By the time it reaches you, it has already been automatically reduced to 85% of that amount.

How to verify after you act
Go to Assets → Earn → Earnings history, filter the product, and you can see the arrival time and amount of each interest payment. If the system shows "Match successful" but you have not received interest after more than 2 hours, take a screenshot and contact online customer support. Tell them the subscription time and amount.
