The WeChat buying channel requires that your account has passed real-name verification and that the real-name details on your WeChat account match exactly with your OKX verification information.
Open the OKX app, tap the profile icon in the top-left corner of the home page, go to [Identity Verification], upload photos of both sides of your ID, and complete facial recognition.
After verification is approved, go to the [P2P Trading] page, tap [Me] at the bottom right, then [Payment Settings] – [Add Payment Method].
Select "WeChat Pay", enter your WeChat account details, and complete the binding.

Step 1: Enter the buy page and select WeChat Pay

Step 2: Choose a merchant and place an order

Step 3: Complete the payment with WeChat

Step 4: Wait for the merchant to release the crypto
After the merchant confirms receipt of your payment, they will click "Release Crypto" on the platform.
USDT will be instantly credited to your Funding Account.
Go to the [Assets] page to check your balance and confirm the deposit.
Arrival time: After the merchant confirms payment, the crypto is usually released within a few minutes to one hour. If the merchant fails to release the crypto after the time limit, you can remind them via the order chat function or click [Appeal] to involve platform customer support.

Common Reasons for Failure
KYC not completed: Fiat trading channels require completed identity verification.
WeChat real-name information does not match platform verification: The merchant will reject the order during verification; platform rules explicitly require the payment account holder's real name to match the platform's records.
Forgot to tap "I Have Paid" after payment: The order will automatically cancel after the timeout, which may affect your account's completion rate.
Sensitive words written in the transfer remark: Banks or WeChat may block the payment, causing it to fail.
Single transaction amount too large triggers risk controls: WeChat Pay's risk controls are stricter for large transactions; it is recommended to split the order into smaller parts.
