How to Deposit USD1 on OKX: Trump Stablecoin Funding Tutorial
USD1 is now live for spot trading on OKX, and you can buy it directly with USDT. USD1 is a US dollar stablecoin issued by the Trump family project World Liberty Financial, custodied by BitGo Trust, and claims to be pegged 1:1 to USD. OKX launched USD1/USDT spot trading on September 2, 2025. Here are the specific steps.
1. Preparation: Have USDT in Your Account
Currently, the main trading pair for USD1 is USD1/USDT, so you need USDT in your account.
If you already have USDT: Skip this step and go directly to Step 2.
If you don't have USDT yet: In the app, go to [Assets] → [Deposit], search for USDT. The system will generate a deposit address. Transfer USDT from your other wallet to this address.
Key Risk: USDT has different networks such as ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20, etc. You must select the exact same network as shown on the OKX deposit page. Choosing the wrong network will result in loss of assets that cannot be recovered.
2. Find the USD1 Trading Pair and Place an Order
Once funds are ready, you can purchase USD1.
Find USD1: In the app's top search bar on the market page, type USD1, and select the USD1/USDT spot trading pair from the results.
Place an order: Choose a market order (immediately executed at the current best price) or a limit order (set a price you are willing to wait for, then the order will be placed and wait to be filled). Enter the amount and confirm the order.
3. Confirm Your Assets After Trading
After placing the order, you can see your USD1 balance in [Assets] → [Spot Account], indicating a successful purchase. If the balance hasn't changed, check your order history in the Order Center to see if the order has been filled.
4. Key Risk Reminders
USD1 is not USDT; they are completely different stablecoins. USD1 is a stablecoin backed by the Trump family, with a current market cap of about $4.5 billion and a circulating supply of about 4.46 billion tokens, making it the fourth-largest stablecoin by market cap.
The price of USD1 may not always be strictly $1. Although it is designed to be pegged 1:1 to the US dollar, it has briefly depegged to around $0.994 before recovering. Before trading, it is recommended to check the current market price to confirm the exchange rate is close to 1.
Concentration risk: Wallets associated with top exchanges once held approximately 87% of the USD1 supply. Liquidity is highly concentrated in a few addresses, and large buy or sell orders may impact the price.
