How to Deposit HYPE on OKX? Hyperliquid Deposit Guide
HYPE is Hyperliquid's native token, unlike regular ERC-20 tokens: it exists as the native gas token on the HyperEVM network, with a system address of 0x2222222222222222222222222222222222222222. When depositing to OKX, the key is to confirm whether OKX currently supports HYPE deposits and which network is supported. If OKX only supports HYPE spot trading at the centralized exchange level, you must deposit from your wallet directly to your OKX account. 1. Confirm the Network of HYPE
Goal: Open the wallet where you hold HYPE and confirm the network the tokens are on.
How to do it:
HYPE is the native token of the Hyperliquid ecosystem, and its base version runs on the HyperEVM network (Chain ID: 999).
If you withdrew HYPE from the Hyperliquid DEX to your wallet, the tokens are by default on the HyperEVM network, with the system address

The HyperEVM network is Hyperliquid's proprietary EVM-compatible chain. Most mainstream wallets already support it natively. If your wallet does not support HyperEVM, you can add it manually: set Network Name to Hyperliquid, Chain ID to 999, and RPC URL to https://rpc.hyperliquid.xyz/evm.
2. Get a HYPE Deposit Address on OKX (After Confirming Support)
Goal: Log in to OKX, search for HYPE, and check whether the deposit page offers a matching network option.
How to do it:
Log in to the OKX app or website, go to Assets → Deposit → Deposit crypto.
Search for "HYPE".
Critical step: Check if the deposit page displays the HyperEVM or Hyperliquid network option.
If OKX currently supports HYPE deposits (i.e., spot trading is live), the page will show a corresponding deposit address. Copy that address and make sure the selected network matches the network your HYPE is on in your wallet.
If the deposit page does not show HYPE, OKX has not yet enabled HYPE deposits. You will need to wait for future support or use alternative funding methods.
Completion criteria: You have confirmed whether HYPE appears on the OKX deposit page and have copied the correct deposit address.

3. Initiate the Transfer from Your External Wallet
Goal: If your HYPE is on the HyperEVM network and OKX supports HYPE deposits, send the tokens to your OKX deposit address.
How to do it:
Open your external wallet and ensure the active network is HyperEVM (the Hyperliquid network).
Locate the HYPE asset and tap Send or Transfer.
Paste the HYPE deposit address you copied from OKX into the recipient address field.
Critical step: In the network selection, confirm that the chosen network is HyperEVM—exactly the same network you selected on the OKX deposit page.
Make sure your wallet holds enough HYPE to cover gas fees (the HyperEVM network uses HYPE as its native gas token).
Submit the transaction.
Completion criteria: The transaction has been submitted. Your wallet shows "Transaction broadcast" or "Pending confirmation", and you have obtained a TxID.
Common reasons for failure:
Wrong network: HYPE primarily circulates on HyperEVM. Selecting a different network (such as an ERC-20 wrapped version) may result in loss of funds.
OKX does not yet support HYPE deposits: If the deposit page does not list HYPE, you cannot initiate the transfer; funds cannot be received.
Insufficient gas: Your wallet does not have enough HYPE to pay HyperEVM network fees.
Risk reminders:
HYPE deposit support on OKX is dynamic: Exchange deposit and withdrawal support changes over time. Before every transaction, check the OKX deposit page to ensure the HYPE option is present and the network matches.
HyperEVM network address format differs: HYPE's system address is
0x2222222222222222222222222222222222222222, which is not a typical ERC-20 token address. Always use the exact deposit address shown on the OKX deposit page.
How to confirm you performed the steps correctly?
Enter the TxID in a HyperEVM block explorer and verify the transaction status is "Success". Then log in to OKX and check your Assets page for an increase in your HYPE balance. If OKX does not yet support HYPE deposits, you must wait until the exchange enables them. For first-time transfers, we strongly recommend sending a small test amount first. Once it arrives successfully, send the remaining balance.
