MOVE is the native token of the Movement Network. Deposits were opened on December 4, 2024, and spot trading launched on December 11, 2024. The core rule for depositing MOVE is the same as for other ERC-20 tokens: the network you select on the OKX deposit page must exactly match the network your MOVE tokens are on in your wallet. Choosing the wrong network will result in irretrievable loss of funds. Currently MOVE circulates on Ethereum mainnet (ERC20). Versions also exist on other networks such as BSC. Always confirm the network before depositing.

1. Complete Your OKX Account KYC

What to do: Ensure your OKX account has completed identity verification.

How to do it:

  1. Log in to the OKX app or website, go to [Profile] → [Identity verification].

  2. Follow the instructions to submit your identity document and complete standard identity verification.

When is it complete: Your account status shows "Verified" or "Standard identity verification".

Accounts that have not completed KYC cannot use the deposit function.

2. Confirm the Network Where Your MOVE Is Located

What to do: Open the wallet holding your MOVE and identify which chain the token is on.

How to do it:

  1. MOVE is the native token of Movement Network and exists in different versions on multiple networks — including Ethereum mainnet (ERC20), BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), and others.

  2. In your wallet, view the MOVE asset details and check the "Network" field to see which chain is displayed.

  3. If you withdraw via Movement mainnet, ensure your wallet has the Movement mainnet RPC added.

When is it complete: You clearly know which network your MOVE is currently on — Ethereum, BSC, or another chain.

Movement Network is built with the Move language, offering high TPS and instant finality, but the MOVE token itself circulates across different chains via bridges.

3. Get Your MOVE Deposit Address on OKX

What to do: Log in to OKX, go to the deposit page, select the corresponding network, and obtain your deposit address.

How to do it:

  1. Log in to the OKX app or website, click [Assets] → [Deposit] → [Deposit crypto].

  2. Search for "MOVE".

  3. Select network: Based on the network your MOVE is on in your wallet, choose the corresponding option:

    • Ethereum (ERC20): MOVE version on Ethereum mainnet

    • BNB Smart Chain (BEP20): MOVE version on BSC

    • Refer to the actual network options shown on the deposit page

  4. The page will generate a deposit address for that network. Copy it.

When is it complete: You have copied the MOVE deposit address provided by OKX and confirmed that the selected network exactly matches the network of the asset in your wallet.

Prerequisite: Your OKX KYC identity verification must be completed. MOVE deposits have been open since December 4, 2024.

4. Initiate the Transfer from Your External Wallet

What to do: Deposit MOVE from your external wallet (such as MetaMask, OKX Web3 Wallet, etc.) to OKX.

How to do it:

  1. Open your external wallet and ensure the current network is switched to the network where your MOVE is located (e.g., Ethereum, BSC, etc.).

  2. Find your MOVE asset and click [Send] or [Transfer].

  3. In the "Recipient address" field, paste the MOVE address you copied from OKX.

  4. Critical step: In the "Select network" section, confirm that the chosen network is exactly the same as the network you selected on the OKX deposit page.

  5. Make sure you have enough gas fees in your wallet (ETH on Ethereum network, BNB on BSC).

  6. Submit the transaction.

When is it complete: The transaction has been submitted, your wallet shows "Transaction broadcast" or "Pending", and you have a TxID.

Common reasons for failure:

  • Wrong network selected: You chose Ethereum on OKX but BSC or another network in your wallet. Funds sent to the wrong chain will not arrive.

  • Insufficient gas fees: The wallet does not have enough native gas tokens to pay the transaction fee.

  • Incomplete address copied: MOVE addresses start with "0x". After pasting, check the first and last few characters.

Risk reminder:

  • Network mismatch may lead to irretrievable funds: Depositing to an unsupported network can cause permanent loss of assets.

  • Deposit addresses are unique: Each coin has a different deposit address on each network. Do not use another coin's address for MOVE deposits.

5. Confirm Receipt of Funds

What to do: Wait for blockchain confirmations and check your OKX account balance.

How to do it:

  1. Use the TxID to check the transaction status on the corresponding network's block explorer (Etherscan for Ethereum, BscScan for BSC).

  2. Log in to OKX, go to [Assets] → [Funding account] or [Spot account], and see if the MOVE balance has increased.

When is it complete: The MOVE balance in your OKX spot account has updated.

How to confirm you have done everything correctly?

Enter the TxID into the corresponding blockchain explorer and confirm the transaction status is "Success". Then log in to OKX and check the [Assets] page to see the MOVE balance increase. For your first deposit, it is recommended to send a small test amount first and transfer the remainder after it arrives. If the funds do not appear after a long time, check whether the network you selected during deposit exactly matches the network used for the wallet transaction — this is the most common issue when depositing MOVE.
