How to Handle Frozen OKX Deposits?
Frozen deposits do not mean your funds are lost. Most cases can be resolved by cooperating with the platform's review, but a few situations genuinely cannot be reversed. The reasons for a freeze fall into two main categories—platform risk control measures and user-triggered actions—and the handling methods are completely different. Follow the steps below. After each step, you will be able to identify which situation applies to you.

Step 1: Identify the Specific Type and Reason for the Freeze
Log into your OKX account and check the following locations:
Pop-up/banner notifications on the App homepage or Assets page
Registered email (including the spam folder)
OKX internal messages or the Support Center
After finding the freeze notification, thoroughly record the reason mentioned, the scope of the restriction, and whether you need to submit documents.
Completion standard: Be able to clearly state which of the following categories the freeze reason falls into, or the screenshot shows the specific reason.
Prerequisite: Make sure you can still log into your account. If even login is restricted, send an email directly from the account's registered email to service@okx.com, attaching front and back photos of your ID and explaining the situation.
Step 2: Choose the Processing Path Based on the Freeze Reason
Type A: T+N Risk Control Triggered by C2C/P2P Buying (Most Common)
Typical characteristics: After buying assets via C2C or Express Buy, the system prompts that "withdrawal and C2C selling functions are restricted for N days." This is a protective measure by the platform to shield users from tainted funds; N is typically 1, 3, or 7 days.
How to handle: No action needed. Wait patiently for N days, and the system will automatically lift the restriction. The restriction period starts counting from the moment the order is completed.
Completion standard: Wait until the deadline ends, then attempt a withdrawal to confirm the restriction has been lifted.
Common failure reason: Repeatedly trying to withdraw during the restriction period may be flagged as abnormal behavior by the system, potentially prolonging the restriction.
Type B: Risk Control Detected Unusual Activity, Request for Additional Information
Typical characteristics: The notification tells you that there is unusual or suspicious activity on your account, requiring you to provide more information or complete a questionnaire.
How to handle:
Case A: Received a questionnaire request → Check your email or the in-app banner, find the questionnaire link, and fill it out as instructed, then submit.
Case B: Received a document submission request → Upload identity proof, proof of funds source, transaction record screenshots, and other materials as required.
After submission, check the Support Center or your email for status updates.
Completion standard: Finish the questionnaire or upload the materials and receive a confirmation receipt or ticket number.
Risk reminder: If you have submitted information more than 48 hours ago but have not received an update, proactively contact OKX customer service and provide your ticket number to check progress. If you fail to respond before the specified deadline, the account restriction may be extended or even suspended until the required information is received.
Type C: On-Chain Deposit Assets Cannot Be Operated
Typical characteristics: The on-chain deposit has been credited (the block explorer shows "Success"), but the assets cannot be withdrawn or sold on OKX.
Possible reasons and handling:
Withdrawal unlock confirmations not yet reached: The deposit page shows two confirmation numbers—"Credited Confirmations" and "Withdrawal Unlock Confirmations." The former must be reached to see the balance, and the latter to operate the assets. Simply wait patiently for more block confirmations.
Daily deposit limit triggered: Some networks (such as ETH, USDT, USDC) have a daily deposit limit, and the portion exceeding the limit cannot be operated on the same day. It will be automatically released at 0:30 AM (GMT+8) the next day. If you urgently need the excess portion, you can withdraw the entire amount via the original network and then deposit again.
Deposit network suspension: Some coins may have deposits suspended due to mainnet upgrades, wallet maintenance, etc. As long as the assets are on-chain, they will not be lost. The platform will process them after deposit/withdrawal services are resumed.
Completion standard: Once confirmations are reached or waiting limits are lifted, assets can be operated normally.
Type D: Account Permanently Suspended
How to handle: If the platform confirms your account has violated the Terms of Service, the account may be permanently suspended. In this case, you can still withdraw remaining crypto assets to an external wallet within the specified time limit, but functions such as trading, P2P, fiat deposits/withdrawals will be unavailable.
Key risk: Permanent restrictions resulting from confirmed violations are not subject to appeal.
Completion standard: Withdraw all assets within the time limit, ensuring the wallet address and network selection are correct.

How to Confirm After Completing These Steps
Type A (T+N restriction): The countdown ends, and the system automatically lifts it; no manual confirmation needed.
Type B (additional information): Refer to the official email or Support Center status update. The review period varies with case complexity; preliminary review typically completes within 1-3 business days.
Type C (on-chain asset lock): Refer to the status on the deposit page—"Withdrawal Unlock Confirmations" reached, released the next day, or deposit/withdrawal network resumed.
Type D (permanent suspension): Confirm that the assets have been successfully withdrawn to the external wallet and that the transaction shows success on the block explorer.
