How to Transfer Crypto from OKX Web3 Wallet to Trading Account?
Transferring from OKX Web3 wallet to your OKX trading account is a two-step process: find the "Asset Transfer" feature in the app, then select transfer from "Web3 Wallet" to "Trading Account". This is an internal platform transfer, not an on-chain transaction, so no network fees apply.

Prerequisites: Sign in to Both Web3 Wallet and Trading Account in the Same App
As long as your OKX Web3 wallet and OKX trading account are both accessible within the same app, you can transfer directly.
Before you start, check these two things:
Your OKX trading account is logged in – if not, the transfer interface will not show Web3 wallet as a source option.
Web3 wallet is unlocked – you can see the wallet address and balance on the Assets page.
Step 1: Find the "Asset Transfer" Option
What to do: Go to the Assets page in the OKX app and locate the transfer function.
How to do it:
Open the OKX app and tap [Assets] on the bottom navigation bar.
On the Assets page, look for the [Transfer] or [Asset Transfer] button (position may vary by app version, usually in the upper-middle area).
When to consider this step done: You've entered the transfer page and can see two dropdown menus: "From" and "To".
Step 2: Set Transfer Direction and Coin
What to do: Choose to transfer from Web3 wallet to trading account, enter the amount and coin.
How to do it:
In the "From" field, select [Web3 Wallet] as the source. Be careful not to mistakenly choose "Funding Account" or "Trading Account" – these are different account types.
In the "To" field, select [Trading Account] (or "Spot Account", depending on the app's wording).
Choose the coin: pick the coin you want to transfer and make sure your Web3 wallet has enough balance.
Enter the amount: input the quantity you want to transfer.
⚠️ Common mistake: Many people accidentally select "Funding Account" as the "From" account, thinking the funds are there — but Web3 wallet assets are separate. You must select "Web3 Wallet" to see the coins stored in your wallet.
When to consider this step done: The page shows your selected coin and amount, and everything looks correct.
Step 3: Confirm and Submit the Transfer
What to do: Submit the transfer request and wait for the assets to arrive.
How to do it:
After verifying the details, tap [Confirm] or [Next].
Complete the security verification (e.g., trading password, verification code).
The transfer usually completes within seconds.
When to consider this step done: You see a "Transfer successful" message and the trading account balance has increased by that amount.
Common Reasons for Failure
App is not logged into your trading account – if not logged in, you cannot link the trading account as the receiver. Log in first.
Choosing the wrong "From" account – selecting "Funding Account" instead of "Web3 Wallet" will show exchange balance, not your on-chain wallet assets.
Insufficient balance in Web3 wallet – if the wallet balance is zero or less than the transfer amount, the system will show an insufficient balance error upon submission.
Some assets are not supported for transfer – certain on-chain assets (such as meme coins on specific chains) may not appear in the transfer list. Convert them to a mainstream coin via OKX DEX first and then transfer.
Risk Reminder
This is an internal operation, not an on-chain transaction, so no gas fees are needed. If someone asks you to "send a gas fee to your wallet before transferring", that's a scam.
If funds in the trading account are tied up in open positions, you might not be able to transfer the full amount. Close positions or release margin first if needed.

How to Confirm You've Done It Correctly
After a successful transfer, go to OKX [Assets] → [Spot Account] and check the balance of the coin you transferred – it should have increased by the expected amount.
Then go to the [Web3 Wallet] page and verify the balance decreased by the same amount. When both sides match, the operation is complete. If the trading account balance hasn't changed, check the [Transfer History] to see the status of the transfer and confirm whether it was successful.
