OKX Deposit FAQ: A Complete Guide to Common Deposit Issues
Deposit issues fall into three main categories: wrong network selection causing funds not to arrive, funds that have arrived but cannot be used, and risk control blocks during the deposit process. Below, we break down each scenario you are most likely to encounter, so you can easily identify your situation.

Category 1: Balance Not Updated After Deposit
Step 1: Check Whether the Transaction Is On-Chain
Log in to OKX, go to [Assets] → [Deposit History], find the relevant deposit record, and copy the transaction hash (TxID).
Open the OKX official block explorer (https://www.okx.com/explorer) and paste the TxID to search.
Case A: The page shows "Transaction not found" → The transaction has not been broadcast, meaning it hasn't actually been sent out yet. Go back to the wallet or platform you are sending from, check whether the transfer has been fully submitted, and re-initiate the transfer.
Case B: Transaction details are displayed but the status is Pending → The transaction is on-chain and waiting for confirmation. This is a normal status; simply continue waiting.
Case C: Status shows Success → The transaction is successful. Proceed to the next step.
Completion Standard: The transaction can be found on the block explorer with a clear status.
Precondition: None. The TxID is your only tracking credential. Make sure to copy and save it immediately after submitting the transfer.
Step 2: Verify Whether the Deposit Network Matches
On the OKX deposit page, check the network name you selected. Compare it with the blockchain network you chose when initiating the deposit, and confirm they are exactly identical—the statement of networks such as ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20 must match word for word.
Case A: Networks match → Proceed to Step 3.
Case B: Networks do not match → Your assets most likely cannot be credited automatically. Do not repeatedly refresh the page. Go directly to Step 5 to submit a ticket, providing the TxID and the target network information. Manual review is the only possible way forward.
Completion Standard: The network names on both sides are completely identical.
Common Cause of Failure: Choosing a network that "looks similar". For example, selecting "BSC" while OKX displays "BEP-20"—they are actually the same chain but with different naming conventions. The safest way is to check the Chain ID rather than relying solely on the name.
Step 3: Confirm the Address Is an OKX-Generated Dedicated Deposit Address
On OKX, go to [Assets] → [Deposit] → select the coin → select the network, and the system will display the currently valid address. Check character by character to confirm it is exactly the same as the receiving address you filled in when making the transfer, including prefixes like 0x, bc1, etc.
Case A: Addresses match → Proceed to Step 4.
Case B: Addresses do not match → You may have used an old address, a historical address, or an address from another platform. The assets are already on-chain but the ownership does not belong to your OKX account. Technically, recovery is extremely difficult. Submit a ticket immediately, but do not hold too high expectations.
Completion Standard: Confirm that the receiving address used for the transfer is exactly the same as the deposit address currently displayed on the OKX page.
Risk Reminder: OKX assigns a unique deposit address for each user, each coin, and each network. Do not reuse historical addresses. Always use the latest address displayed on the page for each deposit.
Step 4: Check Whether Block Confirmations Have Reached the Platform Crediting Threshold
Check the "Confirmations" count for this transaction on the block explorer.
Minimum confirmation requirements for different chains:
BTC: ≥2 confirmations
ETH / USDT-ERC20: ≥12 confirmations
BNB-BEP20: ≥1 confirmation
OKT: ≥15 confirmations
(Source: OKX Help Center and OKLink block explorer, 2026-07-25)
Case A: Confirmation count is below the above standards → Continue waiting; no action is required.
Case B: Confirmation count has met the requirement but the balance is still not updated → OKX internal system crediting usually takes only a few minutes. If it still hasn't arrived after more than 1 hour, proceed to Step 5 to submit a ticket.
Completion Standard: Balance updates after confirmation count meets the threshold, or it is confirmed that a ticket needs to be submitted.
Step 5: Submit an Official OKX Ticket
Visit the OKX Help Center (https://www.okx.com/support/hc/zh-cn), click [Submit a request] → select [Asset Issues] → [Deposit Not Credited].
The description field must include the following information (all items are mandatory):
Full coin name (e.g., USDT, not just "U")
Deposit network (e.g., ERC-20 / TRC-20)
Deposit time (accurate to the minute)
Transaction hash (TxID, complete with prefix)
Screenshot of the block explorer query (including the Confirmations value)
Uploaded files must be in PNG/JPG format only, with a maximum size of 5MB per file. After submission, you can check the progress in [My requests]. OKX usually provides the first response within 4 hours.
Completion Standard: Obtain the ticket number.
Category 2: Deposits Arrived but Unable to Operate
Step 1: Check Whether the "Withdrawal Unlock Confirmations" Threshold Has Been Met
There are two confirmation thresholds on the deposit page—"Crediting Confirmations" (to see the balance) and "Withdrawal Unlock Confirmations" (to operate the assets). The former must be reached for the balance to display; the latter must be reached before you can withdraw or sell the assets.
What to do: Check the unlock confirmation requirement shown on the page, and continue waiting for block confirmations.
Completion Standard: The asset page shows that this deposit is operable.
Step 2: Check If the Daily Deposit Limit Has Been Triggered
Coins such as ETH, USDT, and USDC have daily deposit quantity limits, and the portion exceeding the limit cannot be operated on that day. The excess portion will be automatically released at 0:30 AM (GMT+8) the following day (Source: OKX official help center, 2026-07-25).
What to do: Wait for the release the next day. If you need to use the excess portion urgently, you can withdraw all of it via the original network and then deposit again from scratch.
Completion Standard: Operations become normal the next day, or normal usage resumes after re-depositing.
Step 3: Confirm Whether the Deposit Network Has Suspended Deposits/Withdrawals
Deposits or withdrawals for some coins may be suspended due to mainnet upgrades, wallet maintenance, and other reasons. Check the official OKX announcements page or in-app pop-up notifications to see if there is any scheduled maintenance.
What to do: If there is a suspension notice, wait for recovery and the system will process automatically. Assets are already on-chain and will not be lost.
Completion Standard: Assets can be operated normally after deposit/withdrawal resumes.
Category 3: Deposit Operation Blocked by Risk Control
Step 1: Identify the Risk Control Type and Take a Screenshot
When a pop-up prompt appears, first take a screenshot to save the complete text, including the prompt title, specific description, and button options.
Type A: Network Selection Reminder—"Please confirm the same network is used" → This is a standard security reminder. After verifying network consistency, click "Continue" to proceed.
Type B: Address Security Warning—"This address is risky" → If the entered address is flagged by the system as high-risk (involving blacklists or sanctioned addresses), please stop the operation immediately. Especially for addresses related to sanctioned protocols such as Tornado Cash, OKX enforces a zero-tolerance policy; accounts will be forcibly offboarded with no exceptions. For accounts that passively receive incoming funds from such addresses, OKX states that it will investigate on a case-by-case basis rather than banning directly, but it is recommended to proactively contact customer service to explain the situation.
Type C: Account Compliance Risk Control—"Your account has abnormal activity" → Carefully check your email and app notifications, and find the questionnaire or document submission instructions sent by OKX. Submit the required materials such as identity verification and source of funds explanation according to the instructions. After submission, monitor the ticket status; the review duration varies depending on the complexity of the case. Do not attempt repeatedly, as this may be judged as abnormal behavior by the system and extend the review time.
Completion Standard: Address risk has been ruled out, or materials have been submitted according to the guidelines.

How to Confirm You're Done
For missing deposit issues: Based on the block explorer confirmations reaching the standard + the balance updating. After submitting a ticket, look out for the first reply within 4 hours.
For inability to operate issues: Based on unlock confirmations meeting the standard or normal operations resuming the next day/after recovery.
For risk control block issues: Based on successfully passing the operation or receiving an official notification email. Compliance reviews typically take several business days; do not resubmit the same materials during this period.
