DAI is a decentralized stablecoin. Depositing it on OKX works the same as any ERC-20 token: get a deposit address on OKX, then send your DAI from the source using the same network. Important note: DAI has officially announced a 1:1 swap to USDS. Make sure you understand the latest rules before depositing.

Prerequisite: Confirm Which Network Your DAI Is On

DAI is a multi-chain token deployed on Ethereum (ERC-20), Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, BSC, zkSync and other chains. Before you start, check your source (another exchange or your Web3 wallet) to confirm: which network your DAI is on. Without this information, the following steps won't work.

Important notice: According to OKX's official announcement, a snapshot of DAI will be taken at 17:00 on April 15, 2026 (UTC+8) and DAI will be swapped to USDS at a 1:1 ratio. After 16:00 on April 15, 2026, DAI deposits, withdrawals, and transfers will be disabled. If you're operating after that date, the DAI deposit channel might already be closed, so please check first.

Step 1: Get Your DAI Deposit Address on OKX

What to do: Log in to OKX, find the DAI deposit section, choose the deposit network, and copy the address.

How to do it:

  • App: Bottom【Assets】→【Deposit】→ Search for "DAI"

  • Web:【Assets】→【Deposit】→ Search for DAI

  • The system will show a list of available deposit networks (Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, etc.), each with a different address.

When you're done: You've selected a network, the corresponding deposit address is displayed, and you've copied that address.

Choosing the network is a critical moment for fund security. If you select Ethereum (ERC-20), you must send DAI from an Ethereum address; if you select Solana, you must send from a Solana address. The address and network must match exactly.

Step 2: Initiate the Transfer from the Source

What to do: From where you hold your DAI (another exchange or Web3 wallet), send tokens to the address obtained in Step 1.

How to do it:

Case A – Withdrawing DAI from another exchange to OKX

  • Log in to the source exchange → find【Withdraw】→ select DAI

  • Paste the OKX deposit address you copied in Step 1

  • The network must match the one you selected on OKX (e.g., if OKX is set to Ethereum, the source exchange withdrawal must also use the ERC-20 network)

  • Enter the amount and submit the withdrawal request

Case B – Sending from your own Web3 wallet to OKX

  • Open your Web3 wallet (MetaMask, OKX Web3 wallet, etc.)

  • Click【Send】→ paste the OKX deposit address

  • Confirm the currently connected network is the same as the one you chose on OKX

  • Check the gas fee (different chains need different gas tokens, e.g., Ethereum needs ETH) → submit the transaction

When you're done: The transaction has been submitted and you have a TxID (transaction hash).

Step 3: Confirm the Deposit

What to do: Check the deposit status on OKX.

How to do it:

  • Go to【Assets】→【Deposit History】to see the status

  • Or copy the TxID and look it up on the relevant blockchain explorer

When you're done: Your DAI balance on the OKX Assets page has increased and the status shows "Completed".

Common Reasons for Failure

  1. Network mismatch: This is the most common reason for a failed DAI deposit. DAI exists on multiple chains. If you selected an Ethereum deposit address on OKX but sent from Solana, the funds won't arrive automatically.

  2. Wrong token variant: There are many copycat or cross-chain versions of contract addresses. Always verify the contract address to make sure it's the version supported by OKX.

  3. Deposit channel closed: According to OKX, DAI deposit/withdrawal functions closed at 16:00 on April 15, 2026. If you're operating after that date, the deposit option will most likely be unavailable.

  4. Below the minimum deposit amount: The OKX deposit page shows a minimum deposit limit. Deposits below this amount may not be credited.

Risk Reminders

  • DAI will soon be swapped to USDS. After April 15, 2026, OKX will no longer support DAI deposits/withdrawals. If you deposit DAI now, the system will automatically convert it 1:1 to USDS.

  • Wrong network transfers are the hardest to recover. Before every transfer, double-check the address and network three times.

  • At the time of the snapshot, your DAI balance must be at least 1 DAI to be included in the swap; otherwise, it will not be converted.

How to Verify a Successful Deposit

After depositing, go to the OKX【Assets】page and search for DAI or USDS to see if the balance increased by the expected amount.

If you're operating after the swap period, your DAI may already appear as USDS once credited. Check【Deposit History】for status confirmation.

If it hasn't arrived after 30 minutes, use the TxID to look it up on the blockchain explorer. If the blockchain shows success but OKX doesn't, provide the TxID to OKX customer support.

FAQ

Q: Can I still deposit DAI? According to OKX's official announcement, DAI deposit/withdrawal functions closed at 16:00 on April 15, 2026. If you're operating after that date, the DAI deposit option is likely unavailable. We recommend depositing a stablecoin currently supported by OKX (such as USDT, USDC, or USDS).

Q: What is the DAI to USDS swap ratio? It's a 1:1 swap. After the swap is complete, DAI will no longer appear in your asset list; everything will be converted to USDS.

Q: Will my deposited DAI instantly turn into USDS? The system will automatically perform the DAI-to-USDS swap after all DAI trading pairs are delisted. During the swap, DAI cannot be valued, and afterwards it will automatically be replaced by USDS.
