How to Deposit CRV on OKX? Curve Funding Tutorial
CRV is the governance token of the Curve protocol, deployed on multiple chains including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and others. The key rule for deposits: the network you select on the OKX deposit page must exactly match the network where your CRV is held in your wallet. CRV contract addresses differ across chains. Selecting the wrong network can result in irreversible loss of funds.

1. Complete OKX Account KYC
What to do: Ensure your OKX account has completed identity verification.
How to do it:
Log in to the OKX App or website, go to [User Center] → [Identity Verification].
Follow the instructions to submit your ID documents and complete standard identity verification.
When is it done: Your account shows "Verified" or "Standard Identity Verification" status.
Accounts that have not completed KYC cannot use the deposit function.
2. Confirm the Network Where Your CRV Is Located
What to do: Open the wallet holding your CRV and confirm which chain the token lives on.
How to do it:
CRV exists in different versions on different networks:
Ethereum Mainnet (ERC20): Contract address 0xD533a949740bb3306d119CC777fa900bA034cd52
Polygon (Polygon PoS): OKX integrated the Polygon network in June 2021 and supports CRV deposits
Arbitrum: CRV also circulates on Arbitrum One
Avalanche C-Chain: Cross-chain version bridged via Multichain
In your wallet, check CRV asset details and note which chain the "Network" field indicates.
When is it done: You clearly know which network your CRV is currently on.
CRV has different contract addresses on different networks. Make sure to verify before depositing. OKX already supports CRV spot trading. You can buy CRV through bank transfer, credit card/C2C, and other methods.
3. Obtain the CRV Deposit Address on OKX
What to do: Log in to OKX, go to the deposit page, select the matching network, and get the deposit address.
How to do it:
Log in to the OKX App or website, click [Assets] → [Deposit] → [Deposit Crypto].
Search for "CRV".
Select network: Based on the network where your CRV is held in your wallet, choose the corresponding option:
Ethereum (ERC20): CRV on Ethereum mainnet
Polygon: CRV on Polygon network
Arbitrum: CRV on Arbitrum network
Refer to the actual network options shown on the deposit page
The page will generate a deposit address for that network. Copy it.
When is it done: You have copied the CRV deposit address provided by OKX, and confirmed that the selected network exactly matches the network of the asset in your wallet.
Prerequisite: OKX KYC identity verification must be completed.
4. Initiate the Transfer from Your External Wallet
What to do: Send CRV from your external wallet (e.g., MetaMask, OKX Web3 Wallet, etc.) to OKX.
How to do it:
Open your external wallet and make sure the current network is switched to the network where your CRV resides (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, or Arbitrum).
Locate the CRV asset and click [Send] or [Transfer].
Paste the CRV address you copied from OKX into the "Recipient address" field.
Critical step: In the "Select network" field, confirm that the network chosen is exactly the same as the network you selected on the OKX deposit page.
Ensure your wallet has enough gas fees (Ethereum and Arbitrum require ETH, Polygon requires MATIC/POL).
Submit the transaction.
When is it done: The transaction has been submitted, and the wallet shows "Transaction broadcast" or "Pending", and you have the TxID.
Common failure reasons:
Wrong network selected: OKX chosen Ethereum, but wallet chose Polygon or another network, causing funds to be sent to the wrong chain and unrecoverable.
Insufficient gas fees: The wallet does not have enough gas tokens to pay the transaction fee.
Incomplete address copy: CRV addresses start with "0x". After pasting, verify the first and last few characters.
Risk reminder:
Network mismatch may result in irretrievable funds: Depositing to an unsupported network could lead to permanent loss of assets.
Deposit addresses are unique: Each coin has a different deposit address on each network. Do not use addresses intended for other tokens to deposit CRV.
Risk of same-name tokens: Different networks may have tokens with the same name. Always verify the contract address and network before depositing.

5. Confirm the Deposit
What to do: Wait for blockchain confirmation and check your OKX account balance.
How to do it:
Use the TxID to check the transaction status on the corresponding network's block explorer (Etherscan for Ethereum, Polygonscan for Polygon, Arbiscan for Arbitrum).
Log in to OKX, go to [Assets] → [Funding Account] or [Spot Account], and check if your CRV balance has increased.
When is it done: The CRV balance in your OKX spot account has been updated.
How to confirm you have done everything correctly?
Enter the TxID on the relevant block explorer and verify that the transaction status is "Success". Then log in to OKX and see the CRV balance increase on the [Assets] page. For the first time, it is recommended to send a small test amount first. Once the test arrives, transfer the remaining funds. If the deposit does not arrive after a long time, check whether the network selected during deposit and the wallet's transfer network are exactly the same — this is the most common issue in CRV deposits.
