AAVE is the governance token of the Aave protocol, deployed on the Ethereum mainnet as an ERC-20 token with an address starting with "0x". The deposit rule is straightforward: the network you select on the OKX deposit page must exactly match the network where your AAVE is held in your wallet. AAVE is deployed on multiple chains including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Base. Contract addresses differ on each chain; selecting the wrong network will result in irreversible loss of funds.

1. Complete OKX Account KYC

What to do: Ensure your OKX account has completed identity verification.

How to do it:

1. Log in to the OKX app or website, go to [Profile] → [Identity Verification].

2. Follow the instructions to submit your ID documents and complete standard identity verification.

What counts as completed: The account shows "Verified" or "Standard Identity Verification" status.

Accounts without KYC cannot use the deposit function.

2. Confirm the Network of Your AAVE

What to do: Open the wallet that holds your AAVE and confirm the chain the token is on.

How to do it:

1. AAVE exists in different versions on multiple networks. The main contract addresses include:

2. In your wallet, view the AAVE asset details and check which chain the "Network" field shows.

What counts as completed: You clearly know which network your AAVE is on — Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, or Base.

AAVE has different contract addresses on different networks. Before depositing, always confirm which network your wallet's AAVE actually belongs to. OKX has listed AAVE spot trading, and deposit channels are open.

3. Get Your AAVE Deposit Address on OKX

What to do: Log in to OKX, go to the deposit page, select the corresponding network, and obtain your deposit address.

How to do it:

1. Log in to the OKX app or website, click [Assets] → [Deposit] → [Deposit Crypto].

2. Search for "AAVE".

3. Select network: Based on the network where your AAVE is held in your wallet, choose the matching option:

   • Ethereum (ERC20): AAVE on Ethereum mainnet

   • Arbitrum: AAVE on Arbitrum network

   • Polygon: AAVE on Polygon network

   • Base: AAVE on Base network

4. Initiate the Transfer from Your External Wallet

What to do: Send AAVE to OKX from your external wallet (e.g., MetaMask, OKX Web3 Wallet).

How to do it:

1. Open your external wallet and make sure the current network is switched to the network where your AAVE is located (Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, or Base).

2. Find the AAVE asset and click [Send] or [Transfer].

3. Paste the AAVE address you copied from OKX into the "Recipient address" field.

4. Critical step: In the "Select network" field, confirm the network you choose matches exactly the network you selected on the OKX deposit page. When choosing the deposit network, the wallet's withdrawal network must be identical to the OKX deposit network.

5. Ensure your wallet has enough gas fees (ETH for Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base; MATIC/POL for Polygon).

6. Submit the transaction.

What counts as completed: The transaction is submitted, the wallet shows "Transaction broadcast" or "Pending", and you have a TxID.

Common reasons for failure:

• Wrong network: OKX selected Ethereum but the wallet sent via Arbitrum or another network. Funds go to the wrong chain and cannot be recovered.

• Insufficient gas fees: The wallet does not have enough gas tokens to cover the transaction fee.

• Incomplete address copy: AAVE addresses start with "0x". After pasting, double-check the first and last few characters.

Risk reminders:

• Network mismatch may cause unrecoverable funds: Depositing to an unsupported network can lead to permanent loss of assets.

• Deposit addresses are unique: Each coin on each network has a distinct deposit address. Never use another coin's address for an AAVE deposit.

• Same-name token risk: Different networks may host tokens with identical names. Always verify the contract address and network before depositing.

5. Confirm Arrival

What to do: Wait for blockchain confirmations and check your OKX account balance.

How to do it:

1. Use the TxID to check the transaction status on the appropriate block explorer (Etherscan for Ethereum, Arbiscan for Arbitrum, Polygonscan for Polygon, Basescan for Base).

2. Log in to OKX, go to [Assets] → [Funding Account] or [Trading Account], and check whether your AAVE balance has increased.

What counts as completed: The AAVE balance in your OKX trading account has been updated.

How to confirm you have done it correctly?

Enter the TxID on the corresponding block explorer and verify the transaction status is "Success". Then log in to OKX and see the AAVE balance increase on the [Assets] page. For first-time deposits, it is recommended to transfer a small amount as a test, then send the remainder after it arrives. If the deposit takes a long time without appearing, check whether the network selected during deposit and the wallet's transfer network are exactly the same — this is the most common issue with AAVE deposits.
