How to Use OKX Agentic Wallet? Execution, Verification, and Exit

OKX Agentic Wallet is not a wallet for regular users to click buttons. It is an execution layer for AI agents to call through CLI or MCP. You give an agent a natural language instruction, the agent calls the corresponding wallet command, and the private key signs inside a TEE (Trusted Execution Environment). The agent itself never touches the seed phrase or private key. So the answer to "how to use it" depends on what kind of user you are. If you are configuring your own AI assistant (such as Claude Code or Cursor), the path is to install a skill, let the agent log in, and then drive operations through conversation. If you just want to manually transfer funds in the OKX App, this product is not designed for you.

Execution: From installation to your first operation

Installing the skill on the agent side is the starting point. The official command is npx skills add okx/onchainos-skills --yes -g. After running it, the agent gains the ability to operate the Agentic Wallet. Once installed, you need to log in through a new conversation. Email login is the most direct method: tell the agent "Help me log in to the Onchain OS Agentic Wallet using email." It will trigger a verification code process. Reply with the code you receive, and login is complete.

After login, the agent creates a wallet for you by default. The official skill documentation points out a detail that is easy to get wrong: the wallet is created automatically after successful login. Do not call wallet add separately unless you are already logged in and clearly need a second sub-wallet. Each login method can derive up to 50 sub-wallets, and each sub-wallet generates both EVM and Solana addresses at the same time. If you want the agent to check your balance, simply say "Check my balance" or "How much OKB do I have," and it will call the corresponding balance query command.

Transfers and trades are the core of execution. You can say "Send 0.1 ETH to 0x1234..." and the agent will first check the balance and then execute the send. More complex instructions are broken into chained operations. For example, "Transfer 10 USDC from the main wallet to the third wallet, then use the third wallet to buy ETH." The agent will plan the multi-wallet collaboration steps on its own. Every transaction is simulated before execution, and the result is presented to you in natural language for confirmation. Transactions judged as critical risks are blocked directly.

Verification: How to know an operation really completed

When the agent says "done," it does not mean the on-chain transaction is confirmed. Verification requires looking at two layers.

Agent-side confirmation happens before signing. When the agent describes the transaction details and waits for your confirmation, what you see is the simulation result, not the execution result. If you reply to confirm, the agent then sends the transaction into the TEE for signing and broadcasting. If you are unsure whether an operation is safe, you can separately ask the agent to run a security check: say "Is this transaction safe?" or "Is this token safe?" and it will call the corresponding security detection function.

On-chain confirmation is the final standard. The agent can help you check transaction history. Say "Show me my recent transactions" or "Check this transaction 0xabc123..." and it will return on-chain records. But a safer approach is to take the transaction hash for any transfer or trade involving funds and verify it yourself on a block explorer. The Agentic Wallet skill documentation mentions that transaction history shows about the latest 20 records by default and supports filtering by chain and token. This can serve as a quick verification entry, but it should not replace first-hand confirmation on a blockchain explorer.

There is one boundary you need to know in advance: if you created a wallet using email or social login, it is not the same thing as the wallet you see in the OKX Wallet App. The account FAQ on GitHub specifically mentions this situation—"Apple login wallet is different from OKX Wallet App, balance 'missing'." If you cannot find the agent-created wallet address in the App, this is expected behavior, not a malfunction.

Exit: Several different meanings of "stopping"

"Exit" has three different levels in this product. Doing the wrong one will not lose your funds, but it will not achieve your goal.

Logging out is the lightest layer. Tell the agent to "log out of the wallet." It will call logout, and the current session ends. The wallet and assets are unaffected, and you will still see them next time you log in.

Revoking an agent's access must be handled on the agent side. The Agentic Wallet skill is installed in your AI environment. If you do not want a certain agent to continue operating the wallet, remove the corresponding skill or revoke its session. The private key always remains in the TEE. The agent never held it.

If you mean "exit" at the asset level—moving funds out of the Agentic Wallet—then it is just a normal transfer. Let the agent send tokens to an address you specify, or use the address exported by the agent to operate elsewhere. Agentic Wallet does not have a separate "close account" or "delete wallet" function. The address exists on-chain, and assets will not disappear just because you stop using it.

My assessment: Who should use it and who should not bother

If you are building automated trading strategies, letting an AI assistant manage on-chain assets, or doing multi-step DeFi operations that require autonomous agent execution, Agentic Wallet is currently the most direct execution layer in the OKX ecosystem. Its value is that it packages the signing, risk control, and broadcasting steps between "what the agent wants to do" and "what actually happens on-chain." You do not need to handle private key management or transaction construction yourself.

If you just want to manually buy and sell tokens, transfer funds to a friend, or check your holdings, the OKX Wallet App is more suitable. Agentic Wallet's interaction entry point is conversation, not an interface. Configuring an agent environment, installing skills, and handling login verification just to make one transfer is not a good return on effort.

If you have doubts about the TEE trust model, or if your strategy requires the agent to execute fully autonomously at high frequency without any confirmation, think carefully first. Agentic Wallet's design makes a trade-off between autonomy and security. Pre-transaction simulation and risk interception are protections, but they also mean some operations will be interrupted or blocked.
