Logging out of your OKX account is as simple as tapping the logout button in the app or on the website, but what really matters is how to centrally manage all logged-in devices—especially when you suspect your account has been accessed elsewhere. Forcing a logout is more important than simply logging out of the current device.

1. Log Out of the Current Account on Mobile App

What it does: Ends the OKX login session on your current phone and returns to the login page.

How to do it:

  • Open the OKX App and tap the "My" icon at the bottom right.

  • Tap the "Settings" icon (gear shape) in the top-right corner of the page.

  • Find the "Log Out" or "Sign Out" option in the settings list and tap it.

  • A confirmation prompt will appear; tap "Confirm" to complete.

When is it considered done: The page jumps back to the login screen, and the app no longer displays your assets and order data.

Prerequisites: You must be logged in, and the phone is functioning normally.

Common reasons for failure:

  • In some older app versions, the "Log Out" entry is located inside "Security Center" or "Account Management" rather than on the main settings screen. If you can't find it, go to "Security Center" to check.

  • Tapping "Lock Wallet" instead of "Log Out"—the former only locks the screen without logging out the account, and you will still be logged in after unlocking.

Logging out does not delete your account assets or transaction history; all data will still be there when you log back in.

2. Log Out of the Current Account on Web

What it does: Ends the OKX login session on your computer browser.

How to do it:

  • Visit the OKX official website and make sure you are logged in.

  • Click your avatar or username in the top-right corner to expand the drop-down menu.

  • Select "Log Out" or "Sign Out" from the drop-down menu.

  • The page will automatically redirect to the login screen, meaning the logout is complete.

When is it considered done: The page redirects to the login screen, and the browser no longer keeps the login session.

Prerequisites: You must be logged in and have a working network connection.

Common reasons for failure:

  • Browser extensions or cache may still show a logged-in state after logout—it is recommended to close the browser tab after logging out, or on public computers, clear browser cookies and cache.

Risk warning:

  • When using public or shared devices (such as internet cafes or someone else's computer), after logging out, you must clear browser cache and cookies to prevent others from accessing your account via browsing history.

  • Make sure you are visiting the official OKX website, and beware of phishing sites that impersonate the login page to steal your password.

3. Manage Multi-Device Login Status (Force Logout of Other Devices)

What it does: View the list of all currently logged-in devices and forcibly log out untrusted devices.

How to do it:

  • Go to "Security Center" → "Device Management".

  • The page lists all authorized devices, showing device name, operating system type, IP location, and last login time.

  • Check each device to see if it is one you are currently using.

  • Case A: You find an unfamiliar or suspicious device

    • Tap the "..." or "More" icon next to that device and choose "Log Out" or "Revoke Authorization".

    • The system will send a forced logout command; that device will need to re-enter the password and complete two-factor authentication before accessing the account again.

  • Case B: No anomalies found, but you want to clean up all devices

    • Revoke authorization for all devices at once (Note: This may also kick out the current device, requiring you to log in again).

When is it considered done: The device list only contains the devices you are currently using and trust.

Prerequisites: You must be logged in and able to access "Security Center".

Common reasons for failure:

  • If a device still appears in the list after the operation—check your network status, or wait a few minutes and refresh the page; if the problem persists, contact OKX customer support.

Risk warning:

  • The device management feature is a core defense for account security. If you discover an IP address from an overseas location or a different province, you should immediately force that device to log out, change your login password, and enable Google Authenticator (2FA).

  • After revoking authorization, if the removed device tries to log in again, it will need to reapply for authorization and complete verification; it will not be permanently banned from logging in.

4. Confirm Successful Logout and Check Security Status

What it does: Verify that the current device has logged out and no remaining risks exist in the device management list.

How to do it:

  • After logging out, reopen the app or webpage and confirm that the login screen is displayed, not the asset homepage.

  • Go to "Security Center" → "Device Management" and refresh the page to confirm the device list is updated.

  • If you have bound API keys, go to "API Management" and check for any suspicious keys—deactivate old keys and recreate them if necessary.

When is it considered done: The device list only contains the devices currently in use, with no unauthorized login records, and the API key status is normal.

Next step: Now open OKX "Security Center" → "Device Management", take a screenshot and save the current device list—record your commonly used devices and login times for easy comparison in the future if anomalies occur. If you find any unfamiliar device, immediately tap "Log Out" to force it offline, then go to "Security Settings" to enable Google Authenticator (2FA) to add a second lock to your account.
