Can You Switch Networks to Withdraw When Binance's Withdrawal Network Is Suspended?
When the network is suspended, you cannot directly switch to another network to withdraw. You first need to confirm whether it's a wallet maintenance or a network permanently discontinued. In the former case, you can only wait; in the latter, you must choose other available networks.

Precondition: First confirm what kind of "network suspension" it is
Binance has two types of "network suspension", handled completely differently:
Wallet maintenance (temporary suspension): Binance periodically upgrades wallets for a certain chain, usually restored within 30 minutes to 1 hour. Deposit and withdrawal functions are paused during this period. In this case, you can only wait for maintenance to end and cannot switch networks to withdraw.
Network support ended (permanently discontinued): Binance no longer supports deposits and withdrawals on a particular chain, but will keep open deposit and withdrawal channels for that token on other networks. In this case, you can choose another network to withdraw.
Step 1: Check the reason for suspension
What to do: Check the specific message on the withdrawal page to confirm whether it is "under maintenance" or "network discontinued".
How to do it:
Log in to Binance, go to [Wallet] → [Withdraw].
Select the token you want to withdraw.
Look at the message on the page:
If it shows "Wallet under maintenance, estimated X minutes" → temporary maintenance, wait.
If it shows "This network is no longer supported" or "Please select another network" → permanently discontinued, need to switch network.
When it's considered done: You have identified the suspension type and know whether to "wait" or "switch".
Step 2 (Temporary maintenance): Wait for recovery, do not try to change the network
What to do: If it is temporary maintenance, wait for the withdrawal function to automatically resume after maintenance ends, then proceed as originally planned.
How to do it:
During maintenance, users can trade normally. If you urgently need money, consider converting the asset into another token and then withdrawing.
Maintenance time is usually short (30 minutes to 1 hour), and deposit and withdrawal services will automatically recover after maintenance.
Do not try to use a different network to withdraw the same token during this period – if that token exists on other networks and Binance supports it, you could switch; but if you switch networks just to avoid maintenance, you must confirm the receiving wallet supports that network, otherwise funds could be lost.
When it's considered done: Wait for maintenance to finish, or exchange into another token and withdraw.
⚠️ Forcing a withdrawal to a non-target network during maintenance may result in loss of funds if the receiving address does not support that network.
Step 3 (Network permanently discontinued): Use other open networks
What to do: If Binance has officially announced that a certain network is no longer supported, choose another network that supports that token for withdrawal.
How to do it:
After selecting the token on the withdrawal page, check the list of available networks.
Choose a network with the status "Open".
Confirm that the receiving wallet's address supports that network. For example, when withdrawing GLMR or MOVR, Binance may have opened deposit and withdrawal channels on the Base network.
Before initiating the withdrawal, perform a small test transaction to confirm the address and network match exactly.
When it's considered done: The withdrawal has been successfully initiated, and the receiving wallet has received the test amount or full amount.
Common failure reasons
Attempting to change network for withdrawal during maintenance: If it is only a temporary maintenance (30 minutes to 1 hour), switching networks is rarely necessary and may lead to loss of coins if you use an unfamiliar chain.
Choosing a network not supported by the receiving wallet: If the receiving wallet (e.g., MetaMask) is not switched to the corresponding network, the assets will arrive at the address but won't be visible. Worse, if you select a completely unsupported chain, the assets may be irretrievable.
Not performing a small test transaction first: Mistakes are most likely when switching networks. Sending a large amount directly may cause irreparable loss if the wrong network is chosen.
Risk reminder
Network matching is a hard rule: The network you select on Binance when withdrawing must be exactly the network supported by the receiving wallet. If you choose the wrong network, the funds most likely cannot be recovered.
After maintenance ends, withdrawal recovers automatically; no need to contact customer service.
For permanently discontinued networks, old addresses become invalid: If Binance has announced that a network is no longer supported, depositing to or withdrawing from an old address may fail.

How to confirm the operation is correct
After submitting the withdrawal, check the order status in [Withdrawal History]:
Status is "Completed" → funds have been sent out from Binance.
Take the TxID and search for it on the corresponding blockchain explorer to confirm the transaction has been confirmed.
If it was a temporary maintenance withdrawal, wait for maintenance to end (check Binance announcements or the estimated time shown on the page) and try again. Once the network recovers, the "under maintenance" message on the page will disappear and the withdrawal function will be available again.
