Where to Set Binance Spot Take Profit / Stop Loss? Mobile Setup Guide

The take profit / stop loss entry for Binance spot is in the order type menu on the trading page, select "Take Profit / Stop Loss" or "Conditional Order". On mobile the path is the same, but the entry name may differ across versions. Currently the main entry for Binance spot take profit and stop loss is the "Take Profit / Stop Loss" order type and the "Conditional Order" function. The "Conditional Order" seen by some users is a unified entry added in 2026, which may replace the original TP/SL tab in future.

Prerequisites

  • Logged into the Binance App.

  • Go to [Trade] → [Spot] and select the trading pair you want (e.g., BTC/USDT).

  • Your account holds the corresponding coin (a position is required for a sell take profit).

Path 1: Directly Select "Take Profit / Stop Loss" Order Type

This is the fastest way.

  1. On the spot trading page, next to "Limit" or "Market" in the order entry area, click the order type dropdown.

  2. Select "Take Profit / Stop Loss".

  3. Fill in the parameters:

    • Trigger Price: When the price reaches this level, the order is activated.

    • Order Price: The actual limit price at which the order is placed after triggering.

    • Amount: The quantity you want to sell.

  4. Click the "Sell" button to submit.

Completion indicator: Order status shows "Pending Trigger", not "Filled".

Path 2: Use "Conditional Order" for Unified Management

If the trading page shows "Conditional Order" instead of "Take Profit / Stop Loss", take this path.

  1. On the spot trading page, switch to the "Conditional Order" tab.

  2. Select the "Take Profit / Stop Loss" subtype.

  3. Enter trigger price, order price, and amount.

  4. Confirm and submit.

Completion indicator: The order enters the pending queue and shows "Pending Trigger".

Path 3: OCO Mode – Set Both Take Profit and Stop Loss at Once

If you want to set both TP and SL in one go, use an OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other) order.

  1. On the spot trading page, select the "Limit" order type.

  2. Click the "OCO" option.

  3. Set the corresponding parameters:

    • Limit (Take Profit): Price above the current price; once reached, the order sells to take profit.

    • Stop Loss: Trigger price (below current price) and limit price (actual order price).

  4. After confirming, if one side is filled, the other is automatically cancelled.

Completion indicator: Order status shows "Pending Trigger"; both take profit and stop loss are placed in the system simultaneously.

Difference Between Order Price and Trigger Price

These are not the same. The trigger price is the "trigger condition" threshold; the order price is the "actual execution price". For example:

  • You set trigger price $3,000 and order price $3,002.

  • When the price rises to $3,000, the system automatically places a limit sell order at $3,002.

  • If the market price continues to $3,002, this sell order is filled; if the price turns down from $3,000, the $3,002 sell order may remain unfilled.

Common Failure Reasons

If the gap between order price and trigger price is too narrow, or the direction is reversed, the limit order after triggering may never be filled. For a sell, it's better to set the order price slightly higher than the trigger price so the price is still in an uptrend after triggering; for a buy, set the order price slightly lower than the trigger price.

Risk Warning

Take profit / stop loss orders are "limit orders placed after triggering", not market orders. If the market gaps through your trigger price, the limit order may not get filled, and the price may continue in the unfavorable direction, meaning your stop loss effectively did not execute. Be aware of this during high volatility; do not assume that setting a stop loss completely locks in your risk.
