You just bought crypto on the Binance spot market, but when you switch back to the assets page, your balance still shows 0. This can understandably make you panic a little.

This issue is almost never a system glitch, but happens because you missed one small step in the trading process. Your funds are very likely still in a pending order and not fully executed yet.
Step 1: Do Not Refresh Balance First, Check "Open Orders"
Confirm the actual execution status of your buy order. Find the "Open Orders" or "Unfilled Orders" list on the trading interface or assets page. If your recent order appears here with a status of "Pending" or "Partially Filled", it means your funds are frozen and you have not actually received the crypto yet.
If your order is not fully filled, the corresponding funds will be temporarily locked and will not appear in your "Available Balance", nor will you receive the purchased crypto. The system will automatically execute the order only when the market price reaches the buy price you set. You do not need to place a duplicate order, as it will fill automatically when the price hits your target.
Step 2: If No Order Is Found in "Open Orders", Check "Order History"
Confirm if the order has already been filled, but the funds went to an unexpected location. Navigate to the "Order History" or "Trade Records" page. If the order shows "Filled" here, go back to the assets page to check the difference between "Total Assets" and "Available Balance".
Scenario A: Funds are moved to the Funding Wallet or Earn Wallet
Some Binance features default to moving spot assets to the "Spot Wallet" or "Funding Wallet". If you have used Binance Earn or futures trading before, your funds may be automatically transferred to other wallets, and you will need to manually move them back to the Spot Wallet.
Scenario B: You bought a token with an order value below the minimum trading requirement
Some altcoins have a minimum order amount or minimum trading unit rule. If your purchase value is lower than the minimum required by the exchange, the order may show "Success" but never actually execute, and your funds will be unfrozen and returned to you automatically within a few minutes.

Step 3: Confirm Your Funds Are Not in a Frozen State
If you still cannot find your funds after the first two steps, they are most likely in a frozen state. This kind of lock usually happens when the system reserves funds for pending payment obligations, such as unfilled open orders. You can check the "Assets" page for small "Frozen" or "Locked" labels next to each crypto asset. If you see this, simply cancel the pending order or wait for it to fill, and your funds will unfreeze automatically.
Risk Warning: During high market volatility, limit orders may stay pending for a very long time, and you may mistakenly think you have successfully bought the asset and miss other trading opportunities. Always confirm if you are placing a "Market Order" or Limit Order before submitting. Market orders fill fast but may have higher slippage; limit orders execute at your exact set price but may never fill if the market does not hit your target.
Validation after operation: You have successfully completed the purchase only when all three conditions are met: the "Open Orders" list is empty, "Order History" shows the order as "Filled", and your "Available Balance" displays the crypto you just bought.
Next tip: After each spot purchase, build the habit of checking the "Open Orders" list first to confirm if your order is "Pending" or "Completed". Confirming full execution before returning to the assets page to check your balance will help you avoid unnecessary confusion and invalid operations.
