You just claimed a voucher from the 'Rewards Hub', opened it, and saw the status is 'To be used'. Now you are wondering: is it already activated? Do I need to click something else before it works?

Simply put: most vouchers need to be manually 'activated' after you claim them by clicking the 'Use' button. Claiming a voucher into your voucher center and activating it so it can actually be used are two separate steps.
Case A: Your voucher requires you to click 'Use'
Whether it is a trading fee rebate voucher, a Buy Crypto fee discount voucher, or a Simple Earn trial fund voucher, if you claimed it from the 'Rewards Hub', you need to activate it manually.
Goal: change the voucher status from 'To be claimed' to 'Activated'.
Steps
Log in to your Binance account, tap the profile icon in the top left, go to 'Account Center', and find 'Rewards Hub'.
Tap 'My Vouchers', then switch to the 'Ongoing' tab.
Find the voucher you want to use and click the 'Use' button on it.
Different vouchers have slightly different activation logic:
Trading fee rebate vouchers: after clicking 'Use', the system will ask you to confirm and will generate a separate expiration date. If you have not opened the corresponding trading account, such as a futures account, it will guide you to open it first.
Buy Crypto fee discount vouchers: after clicking 'Use', you will be redirected to the Buy Crypto page, and the system will automatically select this voucher to reduce your fee.
Simple Earn trial fund vouchers: after clicking 'Use', you will be redirected to the subscription page for a Simple Earn product. The trial fund only becomes effective after you confirm.
Completion standard: the voucher status changes from 'To be used' to 'Used', or you receive a 'Redemption successful' notification. Do not just wait. You must see a clear success message.
Note: once you click 'Use' to activate the voucher, a specific expiration date is generated. No matter which voucher type it is, expired vouchers are void and cannot be extended or restored.
Case B: Your voucher does not require manual activation
There is one exception: some vouchers take effect automatically when you perform a certain action.
For example, some Buy Crypto or deposit/withdrawal fee discount vouchers may redirect you to the relevant page after you click 'Use'; sometimes, when you visit the Buy Crypto page, a pop-up will tell you that a voucher is available, and you can activate it on the spot by clicking 'Use'.
How to judge: check the status in the 'Rewards Hub'. If the voucher shows a 'Use' button, you need to click it. If the voucher already shows 'Used' or 'Activated', it is already in effect.
Common reasons for failure: why is my rebate not credited after activation?
Reason 1: You traded the wrong product Trading fee rebate vouchers usually have product limits, for example they may only be valid for spot trading or only for futures trading. Read the 'Applicable products' description on the voucher carefully. Some vouchers clearly cannot be used for fees generated by API trading.
Reason 2: The rebate is not the full voucher amount The rebate is calculated as a percentage of your actual net trading fees paid each day, after deducting VIP and BNB discounts. Example: you have a 500 USDT voucher with 50% rebate. On a given day you actually pay 400 USDT in fees. The next day you will only receive 200 USDT back. The remaining 300 USDT quota can continue to be used later.
Reason 3: Forgot that rebates arrive the next day Rebates are not real-time. They are usually credited to your spot wallet the day after your trading. The official statement says the rebate is distributed before 23:59:59 UTC the next day. In practice, it usually arrives gradually in the afternoon of the next day, Beijing time (UTC+8).
Risk reminder: before activating, spend 10 seconds checking the voucher's details: applicable trading pairs, minimum trading amount, and product type. For example, 'only for BTC/USDT trading pair' or 'only for spot trading'. If you do not meet the conditions, you will not get the rebate even if the voucher is activated. Also, if the platform determines that the account is a risk or fraud account, the rebate qualification will be canceled even if the voucher has been activated.

How to verify after activation
After activation, you do not need to just wait blindly. Go to the 'Rewards Hub' and check the voucher status. If it shows 'Used' or 'Activated', you are on the right track.
For trading fee rebate vouchers, open 'Wallet' -> 'Spot' the next afternoon and check 'Distribution' or 'Asset History'. You should see the rebate credited. If nothing arrives after two days, review the problems above.
