If you can't see your anti-phishing code or it simply never appears in emails, the easiest way to troubleshoot is: first check whether you have actually turned on the feature, then check whether the email really comes from Binance. Many people assume the code is there by default, but it needs to be set up manually. Once properly set, every official email will include this code. If there is no code, the email is fake.

Step 1: Confirm whether you have enabled the anti-phishing code feature

This feature must be activated manually – it is not enabled just because you registered. If it is not turned on, no emails will contain the code.

  • What to do: Open the Binance App, tap the profile icon in the top left corner → [Security] → find the [Anti-Phishing Code] option. On the web version, go to [Profile] - [Account] - [Security] - [Advanced Security] and look for [Anti-Phishing Code].

  • How to know it's done: The status should show "Enabled" or "Activated", and you should see the custom 6–8 character string you set (which can include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores). If it says "Not set" or "Not activated", that's the problem.

High risk: The anti-phishing code is the only visual marker that lets you identify official Binance messages. If you haven't set one up, you cannot verify any email or SMS claiming to be from Binance just by looking for this code – you would have to rely on other checks like inspecting the sender address. After setting it up, never share this code with anyone.

Step 2: If the feature is already enabled but emails show no code, check whether the email is genuine first

Once set up, every official Binance email will contain your code. If an email arrives without it, you can be almost certain it is a phishing email. Clicking any link inside such an email will likely lead to your account being stolen.

  • What to do: Do not click any links in the email. Instead, check the sender address directly. Official Binance emails usually come from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or similar domains. Also, look for your anti-phishing code in the email body; it is typically displayed prominently.

  • How to know it's done: Confirm that the sender address uses an official Binance domain and that your custom code string appears in the email body. Both conditions must be met.

Common mistake: Many users confuse "SMS verification code" with "anti-phishing code". The SMS verification code is a temporary 6-digit number you receive when logging in or performing certain actions, while the anti-phishing code is the custom alphanumeric string you set in your security settings. The former is a one-time password; the latter is a static identifier. If the email does not contain that custom string you created, something is wrong.

Step 3: If you don't see the anti-phishing code in text messages, check regional availability

Binance has extended the anti-phishing code feature to SMS notifications in selected regions, but this is not available worldwide.

  • Situation A: You received an SMS First, check whether your country is on the list of supported regions (such as Australia, the United Kingdom, Turkey, etc.). If your region is not supported, SMS messages will not include the anti-phishing code. Also, check whether the SMS was blocked or filtered into your phone's spam folder.

  • Situation B: You see a warning when viewing security settings on the App or website If you see a clear pop-up message like "Your anti-phishing code is not yet activated" on the security settings page, it means the feature is indeed turned off. Simply activate it by following the prompt.

How to verify everything is working: After setup, find the most recent official Binance email and confirm that your custom anti-phishing code appears in the body. If the SMS feature is available in your region, the code should also appear at the end of text messages from Binance. If you have set it up, your region is supported, but emails still show no code, submit a report with screenshots through the in-app customer support channel on the official Binance App. Do not contact support via email.
