How to Check Deposit Progress on Binance Using a Blockchain Explorer?

Think of the transaction hash (TxID) as a courier tracking number, and the blockchain explorer as the shipment tracking system. When a deposit hasn't arrived, first use a blockchain explorer to check three things: whether the transaction status is "Success," whether the confirmation count has been met, and whether the receiving address is correct. These three pieces of information help you determine whether the issue lies on the blockchain or within Binance.

1. Find Your Transaction Hash (TxID)

What to do: Obtain the unique identifier for this deposit transaction.

How to do it:

  • If you deposited from an external wallet to Binance: Open the sending wallet or exchange, find the transfer record, and copy the "Transaction Hash," "TxID," or "Transaction ID" (usually a 64-character string, though this may vary slightly by chain).

  • If you performed an internal Binance operation but the status is abnormal: Log in to Binance, go to WalletWallet OverviewWallet History, find the record, and click the TxID link to be redirected.

When is it done: You have copied the complete TxID and can paste it into a text editor for later use.

The TxID is the unique identifier for every transaction on the blockchain, and you must use it to check progress. If you cannot find the TxID, contact the customer support of the sending platform to obtain it.

2. Choose the Correct Blockchain Explorer

What to do: Open the corresponding blockchain explorer based on the network you used for the deposit.

How to do it: Different networks require different explorers. Choosing the wrong one will show no data:

Your Selected Deposit NetworkCorresponding Blockchain Explorer
BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)BscScan (bscscan.com)
Ethereum (ERC20)Etherscan (etherscan.io)
Bitcoin (BTC)blockchain.com or btc.com
TRON (TRC20)Tronscan (tronscan.org)
Solana (SOL)Solscan (solscan.io)

When is it done: You have opened the blockchain explorer homepage that matches your deposit network.

3. Search for the TxID in the Explorer and Check Transaction Status

What to do: Paste the TxID into the explorer's search box and go to the transaction details page.

How to do it:

  1. Paste your TxID into the search box on the blockchain explorer's homepage and click Search.

  2. Go to the transaction details page and check the key fields.

Status determination logic:

  • Success: The transaction has been confirmed on-chain. Next, check the confirmation count.

  • Fail: The transaction was not successful. Contact the platform that initiated the transfer (not Binance), because Binance, as the recipient, is unable to handle failed transactions.

  • Pending: The transaction is still waiting to be included in a block. Wait or check if the gas fee is too low.

When is it done: You have seen the transaction status and determined whether it is Success, Fail, or Pending.

If the status is "Success" but your Binance account hasn't received the funds, it's not that Binance didn't receive them — the on-chain transaction is complete and the holdup is in Binance's internal crediting process.

4. Verify Confirmation Count and Receiving Address

What to do: Confirm whether this transaction has reached Binance's required minimum confirmation count and whether the receiving address is correct.

How to do it:

  1. On the transaction details page, find "Confirmations" or "Block Confirmations." The confirmation count indicates how many subsequent blocks have been built on top of this transaction; the higher the number, the more irreversible it is.

  2. Binance requires a minimum confirmation count for each coin. You can see the requirement (e.g., "Requires X confirmations") on the deposit page. Funds will not be credited until the threshold is met.

  3. Check that the "To" (receiving address) matches exactly the deposit address you copied from Binance. If they do not match, the address was entered incorrectly — in this case, automatic crediting is not possible.

When is it done: The confirmation count has been met, and the receiving address is correct.

5. Decide the Next Step Based on the Results

What to do: Based on the on-chain information, decide what to do next.

How to do it:

  • On-chain status "Success" + Confirmations met + Receiving address correct: The funds should be credited within 1 hour. If not credited after 1 hour, submit a Binance self-service recovery application.

  • On-chain status "Success" + Confirmations not met: Continue waiting. Once the confirmation threshold is reached, the system will credit your account automatically.

  • On-chain status "Success" + Receiving address entered incorrectly: The funds have been sent to another address or the wrong network. Binance usually cannot recover them, but you can go through the asset recovery process; the success rate depends on the specific situation.

  • On-chain status "Fail" or "Pending": The issue lies with the sender. Contact the sending platform for resolution.

When is it done: You clearly know which part of the process the issue is in.

How to confirm you have correctly completed the process?

When you confirm on the blockchain explorer that the transaction status is "Success," the confirmation count has been met, and the receiving address is correct — all three conditions are satisfied — it means the deposit is complete on-chain. If Binance still hasn't credited your account at this point, you can submit a self-service appeal following the relevant guide. Processing usually takes more than 7 business days. Check the status update in Binance's [Application Records].
