How to Deposit NEAR to Binance? Address and Network Check
The most important rule for depositing NEAR: choose the correct network. Binance supports NEAR deposits via the NEAR Mainnet and BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), but does not support NEAR on Ethereum (ERC20). Before depositing, confirm the network of your NEAR tokens in your wallet, then select the exact same network on Binance.

1. Complete Binance Account KYC
What to do: Make sure your Binance account is identity verified.
How to do it:
Log in to the Binance App or website, go to [Profile] → [Identity Verification].
Follow the instructions to submit your ID documents and complete Standard Identity Verification.
When it's done: Your account displays "Verified" or "Standard Identity Verified" status.
Accounts without KYC cannot use the deposit function.
2. Get Your NEAR Deposit Address on Binance
What to do: Log in to Binance, go to the deposit page, select the network and get the corresponding NEAR deposit address.
How to do it:
Log in to the Binance App or website, click [Wallet] → [Deposit] → [Deposit Crypto].
Search for "NEAR".
Select the network: Binance supports two types of deposit networks:
NEAR Protocol (NEAR Mainnet): Native NEAR assets, address format is a human-readable account name (e.g., alice.near) or a 64-character hex string.
BNB Smart Chain (BEP20): Binance-Peg NEAR (BEP20 wrapped version), addresses start with "0x".
After selecting the network, the page will generate the corresponding deposit address. Click [Copy] to copy the address.
When it's done: You have copied the NEAR deposit address provided by Binance and clearly know which network you selected.
Prerequisites: Binance KYC identity verification must be completed.
Note: Binance has completed multi-asset integration for the NEAR Protocol network, and NEAR Mainnet deposits are fully open.
3. Initiate Transfer from an External Wallet: Network Must Match
What to do: Send NEAR from your external wallet (e.g., NEAR wallet, MetaMask) to Binance.
How to do it:
Case A: Deposit native NEAR (NEAR Mainnet)
Open your NEAR wallet, find your NEAR asset, and click [Send].
Paste the NEAR address you copied from Binance (human-readable account name or 64-character hex string) into the "Recipient Address" field.
Under "Select Network", choose [NEAR Protocol].
Ensure your wallet has enough NEAR to cover gas fees.
Submit the transfer.
Case B: Deposit BEP20 version NEAR (BNB Smart Chain)
Open your external wallet (e.g., MetaMask) and make sure the network is switched to [BNB Smart Chain].
Paste the BEP20 address starting with "0x" you copied from Binance into the "Recipient Address" field.
Ensure your wallet has enough BNB for gas fees.
Submit the transfer.
When it's done: The transaction has been submitted, and your wallet shows "Transaction broadcast" or "Pending", and you have a TxID.
Common failure reasons:
Wrong network: NEAR tokens sent to an incorrect network address (e.g., ERC20) cannot be recovered by the platform, resulting in permanent loss of funds.
Incorrect address format: NEAR Mainnet addresses can be human-readable or a 64-character hex string. Simply paste the address copied from Binance directly; do not manually modify it.
Insufficient gas fees: NEAR Mainnet requires NEAR for gas fees, while BEP20 requires BNB. If your wallet lacks the corresponding gas token, the transaction will be stuck.
Risk warnings:
Network mismatch = potential permanent loss of funds: This is the most critical point when depositing NEAR. Binance has explicitly stated multiple times that tokens sent to a wrong network address cannot be retrieved by the platform.
ERC20 version is not supported: Binance currently does not support NEAR deposits via the Ethereum network. Do not send NEAR from the Ethereum mainnet to Binance.

4. Confirm the Deposit
What to do: Wait for blockchain confirmations and check your Binance account balance.
How to do it:
Use the TxID to check the transaction status on the corresponding block explorer (use nearblocks.io for NEAR Mainnet, BscScan for BEP20).
Log in to Binance, go to [Wallet] → [Spot Account], and see if your NEAR balance has increased.
When it's done: Your NEAR balance in the Binance Spot Account has been updated.
How to confirm you've done it correctly?
Enter the TxID in the block explorer, and verify the transaction status is "Success". Then log in to Binance and see that your NEAR balance has increased on the [Assets] page. For first-time operations, it's recommended to send a small test amount first, and transfer the rest only after it arrives. If it takes a long time to arrive, check whether the network you selected during deposit matches the network used in your wallet transfer exactly – this is the most common issue when depositing NEAR.
