Web version: Go to any Futures trading page → click the profile icon or settings at the top right → find the "Simulated Trading" option. Or on the Futures trading page, click the "More" menu and you'll see "Simulated Trading".
App version: Open the Binance App → go to the Futures trading page → tap the "···" more menu at the top right or top left → select "Simulated Trading".
Check: The page top shows a "Simulated Trading" label, or the address bar displays demo.binance.com, and your account balance shows virtual funds instead of real assets.
Common mistake: Many people search on the spot page and can't find the simulated entry. The spot simulated entry is in the "Trade" dropdown menu; the futures simulated entry is in the "More" or "Settings" at the top right of the futures K-line page. The paths are different, so don't get stuck in one place.
Step 2: Confirm Virtual Funds and Testnet Account Status
When you first enter simulated trading, the system automatically creates a testnet account with the same username and password as your main account. The initial virtual funds are 3,000 USDT (some sources say 20,000 USDT; the actual display on the page prevails).
What to do: After entering the simulated trading page, check the "Assets" / "Balance" area at the top right or bottom. If the balance is 0 or shows an error, click the "Faucet" button on the page to request test coins.

Step 3: Start Practicing with Simulated Orders
The layout is almost identical to real futures trading, except there's a "Return to Live" toggle button at the top right.
How to do it: Operate in the simulation just like in real trading: select a trading pair, set leverage (the simulation supports high leverage for trial and error), choose limit or market orders, set stop-loss and take-profit, then click "Long" or "Short". Gains or losses in the simulated account do not affect your real account at all.
Simulated Copy Trading (optional): If you want to practice copy trading, the path is: Futures → Copy Trading → choose a lead trader → click "Simulated Copy Trading". Simulated copy trading also uses virtual funds and carries no real risk.
Check: The order is filled successfully, and you can see the position in the holdings list with profit/loss numbers fluctuating with price.
High risk: If you lose all virtual funds in the simulation, just click the "Faucet" to get more, so you can test freely. But never connect your exchange API while in the simulated environment — some people get comfortable and forget to change the API settings when switching back to live trading, sending real orders to the testnet or vice versa. When switching environments, always check whether the top right button says "Return to Live" or "Return to Simulation". Getting the state wrong is your own responsibility.
Verification method: Place a limit order and check that it appears in "Open Orders". Then place a market order; once filled, the position should appear in "Positions".
