How to Deposit VIRTUAL on OKX? Virtuals Protocol Funding Tutorial
VIRTUAL is the native token of Virtuals Protocol, which has been listed on OKX. You can trade it via spot or futures markets using USDT. Virtuals Protocol is a platform for building co-ownership of autonomous AI agents, where users can issue new AI agents and related tokens, and conduct on-chain transactions with other AI agents or humans. OKX launched the VIRTUALUSDT perpetual contract on December 11, 2024, and also supports spot trading of VIRTUAL. The following are the specific deposit steps.
1. Preparation: Register and Deposit USDT
Before you start, you need to complete account preparation.
Register and complete identity verification: Download the OKX App or visit the official website to register, and follow the instructions to submit your identity information for KYC. This is a prerequisite for trading; you cannot deposit or trade without verification.
Deposit USDT to your account: The most active trading pair for VIRTUAL is VIRTUAL/USDT, so you need USDT in your account. In the app, go to [Assets] → [Deposit], search for USDT and select it. The system will generate a deposit address. Transfer USDT from your other wallet to this address.
Key risk: USDT has multiple networks such as ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20, etc. Make sure to select the exact same network as shown on the OKX deposit page. Choosing the wrong network will result in asset loss and cannot be recovered.
2. Find VIRTUAL and Place an Order
Once funds are credited, you can buy.
Find the VIRTUAL trading pair: In the App's top market search box, type VIRTUAL, then select the VIRTUAL/USDT pair from the results.
Note: There may be tokens with the same name or fake tokens on different networks. Before trading, verify that the token's contract address is correct. The VIRTUAL token contract address on the Base network is 0x0b3e328455c4059eeb9e3f84b5543f74e24e7e1b, and on the Ethereum mainnet is 0x44ff8620b8cA30902395A7bD3F2407e1A091BF73.
Place an order:
Market order (fastest): Enter the amount in USDT or quantity of VIRTUAL you want to buy, and the system will execute at the best current price.
Limit order (controlled): Set your desired price and quantity, and the order will be placed waiting to be filled when the market reaches that price.
Completion criteria: After placing the order, you can see your VIRTUAL balance in [Assets] → [Spot Account], indicating a successful purchase.
3. Key Risk Reminders
Distinguish tokens with similar names: There may be other tokens on OKX containing "VIRTUAL" in their name (e.g., Virtuality Lab). When buying, make sure the full token name is Virtuals Protocol, and verify the contract address to avoid purchasing the wrong token.
Network selection is critical: Choosing the wrong network during deposit is the most common cause of asset loss. Always double-check that the address and network type exactly match those displayed on OKX before transferring.
How to confirm the operation is completed:
After a successful order, go to the OKX "Assets" page and tap "Spot Account". If you can see the VIRTUAL balance, the deposit and purchase are complete. If the balance hasn't changed, check the "Order Center" for order status to see if it has been filled.
