Step 1: Understand that "arrival" has two parts – blockchain confirmations + platform crediting
The full deposit process is: you initiate a transfer → the blockchain network confirms it → OKX credits your account after receiving the required confirmations. The "arrival time" users see is the sum of these two steps.
Two core factors affect the speed:
Network confirmations required: Different coins and networks require different numbers of confirmations for final crediting. Taking USDT as an example, the TRON network requires 19 confirmations, while the Ethereum network requires 32 confirmations.
Network congestion: If the transaction fee is set low or the network is at peak usage, confirmation speed will be slower.
Understanding that deposit arrival is about on-chain confirmation speed, not the platform's "processing speed", is key.
Step 2: Check the estimated arrival time based on the network you selected
Confirmation speeds vary significantly across different networks. Below is a reference table for common networks.

Step 3: How to check your deposit progress
Don't just wait after depositing – you can track the status in real time within the app.
Navigation path:
Open the OKX App and go to the Assets page.
Tap Deposit History (or Crypto Deposit History) in the top right corner.
Locate the deposit and check its current status.
Status meanings:
Pending / Confirming (Block confirmations in progress): The on-chain transaction has been broadcast but has not yet reached the required number of confirmations – just keep waiting.
Arrived / Completed: The funds have been credited to your account balance.
You can directly check the transaction status in deposit history; there is no need to constantly monitor your wallet balance.
Step 4: If your deposit hasn't arrived after a long time – a three-step self-check
If it exceeds the normal expected time and hasn't arrived, troubleshoot in the following order before contacting support.
① Check the TxID on a blockchain explorer Copy the transaction hash (TxID) and paste it into the corresponding blockchain explorer (e.g., Tronscan, Etherscan). If the blockchain shows "Confirmed" but OKX hasn't credited it, there may be a block synchronization delay. If the blockchain shows "Pending" or "Failed", it's a network issue – simply continue waiting.
② Verify the deposit address and network This is the most critical step. Check that the deposit address generated on OKX exactly matches the address you sent to. Also verify the network – if you selected TRC20 on the OKX deposit page, the sending side must also use TRC20. If the two networks do not match, the funds cannot arrive.
③ Check whether a Memo/Tag is required Certain coins (such as XRP, EOS, XLM) require a Memo or Tag when depositing. If it is missing or entered incorrectly, the platform cannot identify the transaction ownership, and the funds will not be credited automatically.
Go through these three steps, and you should be able to identify the issue or confirm whether you need to contact customer support.
Common reasons for failure
Wrong network selected: You deposited USDT using the ERC20 network but sent it to a TRC20 address – this is the most common and hardest-to-reverse mistake.
Deposit amount below the minimum: The platform requires a minimum deposit amount for each coin. Amounts below this threshold will not be credited.
Transaction fee set too low by the sender: On-chain miners give the transaction a low priority, and it may be stuck for a long time.
Sent to an old address: OKX may update wallet addresses. Deposits sent to an old address usually still arrive, but it is recommended to always use the latest address displayed on the page.
Risk reminders
Assets sent via the wrong network are very likely unrecoverable: Sending ERC20-USDT to a TRC20 address essentially means the assets cannot be retrieved.
OKX currently does not support BSC network deposits for some assets like USDT. If you deposit via the BSC network, it may become a non-tradable asset and require additional handling.
