PEPE is an ERC-20 token deployed on Ethereum, so you must select the Ethereum network (ERC20) when depositing. The core rule for depositing PEPE: the network you select on the OKX deposit page and the network you use to send from your wallet must match—both must be Ethereum Mainnet. PEPE may have clones or wrapped versions on other blockchains. If you send ERC20 PEPE to an OKX BSC address, your funds may be irrecoverable.

1. Complete OKX KYC Verification

What to do: Ensure your OKX account has completed identity verification.

How to do it:

  1. Log in to the OKX app or website, go to 【User Center】→【Identity Verification】.

  2. Follow the instructions to submit your ID documents and complete standard identity verification.

When is it done: Your account shows "Verified" or "Standard Identity Verification" status.

Accounts that have not completed KYC cannot use the deposit function.

2. Get Your PEPE Deposit Address on OKX

What to do: Log in to OKX, go to the deposit page, get your PEPE deposit address, and confirm the network.

How to do it:

  1. Log in to the OKX app or website, click 【Assets】→【Deposit】→【Deposit Crypto】.

  2. Search for "PEPE".

  3. Select network: Choose 【Ethereum (ERC20)】. PEPE is an ERC-20 token deployed on Ethereum Mainnet. OKX supports receiving PEPE deposits via the Ethereum network.

  4. The page will generate a deposit address (starting with "0x"). Copy it.

When is it done: You have copied the PEPE deposit address provided by OKX and confirmed that the selected network is ERC20.

Prerequisite: You have completed OKX KYC identity verification.

Tokens with the same name or fake tokens may exist on different networks. Always verify the contract address and network before transacting. The official PEPE contract address is 0x6982508145454Ce325dDbE47a25d4ec3d2311933.

3. Initiate the Transfer from Your External Wallet

What to do: Deposit PEPE to OKX from your external wallet (e.g., MetaMask, OKX Web3 Wallet, etc.).

How to do it:

  1. Open your external wallet, find your PEPE asset, and click 【Send】 or 【Transfer】.

  2. Paste the PEPE address you copied from OKX (starting with "0x") into the "Recipient address" field.

  3. Key step: Under "Select network", you must choose 【Ethereum Mainnet (ERC20)】—exactly matching the network you selected on OKX. If you choose BSC or Polygon in your wallet, the funds will be sent to the wrong network and will not arrive.

  4. Make sure your wallet has enough ETH to cover the gas fee (Ethereum Mainnet transfers require ETH for gas).

  5. Submit the transaction.

When is it done: The transaction has been submitted, your wallet shows "Transaction broadcast" or "Pending confirmation", and you have the TxID.

Common reasons for failure:

  • Wrong network selected: You selected ERC20 on OKX but chose BSC or Polygon in your wallet—funds will not arrive.

  • Insufficient gas fee: Your wallet does not have enough ETH to pay the transaction fee.

  • Wrong token contract address: PEPE tokens with the same name may exist on different chains. Make sure the PEPE in your wallet is the ERC20 version on Ethereum Mainnet.

Risk warning:

  • Network mismatch = potential permanent loss of funds: PEPE is an ERC-20 token, and OKX supports receiving it via the Ethereum network. If you send funds from another network (such as BSC) to OKX's ERC20 address, you may lose your assets.

  • Deposit addresses are unique: Each coin has a different deposit address on each network. Do not use another coin's address for PEPE deposits.

4. Confirm the Deposit

What to do: Wait for blockchain confirmation and check your OKX account balance.

How to do it:

  1. Use the TxID to check the transaction status on an Ethereum block explorer. Ethereum network confirmation time depends on the gas fee, usually ranging from a few minutes to tens of minutes.

  2. Log in to OKX, go to 【Assets】→【Funding Account】 or 【Trading Account】, and check if your PEPE balance has increased.

When is it done: Your PEPE balance in your OKX trading account has been updated.

Enter the TxID on Etherscan and confirm the transaction status is "Success". Then log in to OKX and check that your PEPE balance has increased on the 【Assets】 page. For first-time deposits, we recommend sending a small test amount first, and transferring the remainder after the test deposit arrives. If the deposit does not arrive after a long time, check whether the network you selected during deposit exactly matches the network used to send from your wallet—PEPE is an ERC20 token and can only be deposited via the Ethereum network. This is the most common reason for stuck deposits.
