How to Deposit LINK on OKX? Chainlink Funding Tutorial
Core rule for LINK deposits: the network must match. LINK is an ERC-20 token, and OKX supports receiving LINK via the Ethereum network (ERC20). Whatever chain your LINK is on in your wallet, you must select the same chain for the deposit. Choosing the wrong network will most likely result in permanent loss of funds.

1. Complete OKX Account KYC
What to do: Ensure your OKX account has completed identity verification.
How to do it:
Log in to the OKX App or website, go to [User Center] → [Identity Verification].
Follow the instructions to submit your ID document and complete standard identity verification. Without KYC, you cannot use the deposit service.
What counts as done: Your account shows "Verified" or "Standard Identity Verification" status.
2. Get Your LINK Deposit Address on OKX
What to do: Log in to OKX, go to the deposit page, and obtain your LINK deposit address.
How to do it:
Log in to the OKX App or website, click [Assets] → [Deposit].
Search for "LINK".
Select the network: OKX supports receiving LINK on the ERC20 network. The deposit page will display the currently available network options; please refer to what is actually shown.
Copy the generated deposit address (an Ethereum address starting with "0x").
What counts as done: You have copied the OKX LINK deposit address and confirmed that the selected network is ERC20.
Prerequisite: OKX KYC identity verification must be completed.
LINK is an ERC-20 token on the Chainlink network, and deposits only recognize the Ethereum mainnet. If your LINK is on Polygon or BSC, you need to bridge it back to Ethereum first before depositing. You cannot send directly from other chains to OKX's ERC20 address.
3. Initiate the Transfer from Your External Wallet
What to do: Send LINK from your external wallet (e.g., MetaMask, imToken, Trust Wallet) to your OKX deposit address.
How to do it:
Open your external wallet, find the LINK asset, and click [Send] or [Transfer].
Paste the LINK address you copied from OKX (starting with "0x") into the "Recipient address" field.
Critical step: In the "Select network" option, you must choose [Ethereum] or [ERC20] — exactly the same network you selected on OKX. If you choose Polygon or BSC, the funds will not arrive.
Make sure your wallet has enough ETH for gas fees (transfers on the Ethereum mainnet consume ETH).
Submit the transaction.
What counts as done: The transaction has been submitted, and your wallet displays "Transaction broadcast" or "Pending confirmation".
Common reasons for failure:
Wrong network selected: You chose ERC20 on OKX but selected BSC or Polygon in your wallet — funds are sent to a different network and cannot be automatically credited.
Insufficient gas fees: Your wallet does not have enough ETH to pay the transaction fee, causing the transaction to be stuck.
Incomplete address copy: The LINK address is an Ethereum address starting with 0x. After pasting, double-check the first and last few characters.
Risk warning:
Network mismatch = funds may be irrecoverable: Depositing tokens to a platform on an unsupported network may result in asset loss. Before proceeding, always ensure that the networks on both sides are identical.
Ethereum gas fees are high: ERC20 transfers consume ETH, and gas fees fluctuate with network congestion. If your wallet's ETH balance is insufficient, you cannot complete the transfer.

4. Confirm the Deposit
What to do: Wait for blockchain confirmations and check your OKX account balance.
How to do it:
Use the TxID to check the transaction status on Etherscan. Mainnet Ethereum confirmations usually take anywhere from a few minutes to tens of minutes, depending on gas fees.
Log in to OKX, go to [Assets] → [Funding Account] or [Trading Account], and check if the LINK balance has increased.
What counts as done: The LINK balance in your OKX trading account has been updated.
How to verify you have correctly completed the operation?
Enter the TxID on Etherscan and confirm the transaction status is "Success". Then log in to OKX and check the [Assets] page to see if the LINK balance has increased. For first-time operations, it is recommended to send a small test amount first and transfer the remainder after the test amount arrives.
