On OKX, depositing INJ comes down to two situations: if you already have INJ and want to deposit it, you need to confirm whether it's on the native Injective network or another chain; if you don't have any yet, the fastest way is to buy directly with USDT on OKX, skipping the deposit step entirely.

1. Confirm where your INJ is and which network it's on

What to do: Figure out your INJ's current status — you haven't bought any, you already have it on OKX, or it's in an on-chain wallet.

How to do it:

Case A: You don't have INJ yet. No deposit needed. Buy directly on OKX. Open OKX, search for the "INJ/USDT" trading pair, and buy with USDT. Bank transfers usually arrive within 1-3 business days.

Case B: Your INJ is already in your OKX account. No action needed. If you want to move it to an external wallet, go through the withdrawal process.

Case C: Your INJ is in an on-chain wallet (e.g., MetaMask, OKX Web3 wallet). INJ is the native token of Injective Protocol, issued on the Injective network. However, some third-party platforms may show INJ contract addresses deployed on BNB Chain. Which network your INJ actually lives on depends solely on what your wallet displays.

Open your wallet and check the network name:

  • Injective network → Choose Injective mainnet for deposit

  • BNB Chain → Choose BSC network for deposit

  • Ethereum (if INJ has been bridged over) → Choose ERC20

When you're done: You've clearly answered "which network my INJ is on" and confirmed the matching OKX deposit option.

Prerequisite: Your OKX account must have completed identity verification (KYC). Depositing is not possible without verification.

Common reason for failure: Third-party platforms may show INJ contract addresses on different chains. If you bought INJ on a DEX on BNB Chain but selected Injective mainnet when depositing, your funds will be lost. Always rely on the actual network shown in your wallet.

2. Deposit INJ from an on-chain wallet to OKX

What to do: Transfer INJ from your wallet into the OKX exchange.

How to do it:

  1. Open the OKX App, tap [Assets] at the bottom, and select [Deposit].

  2. Search for "INJ".

  3. Select the network: Choose the network based on your judgment from step 1. OKX's deposit guide clearly warns: the network must match the sending platform exactly, otherwise assets will be lost.

  4. The page will show a deposit address and minimum deposit amount. If the deposit amount is lower than the minimum, the funds cannot be credited and cannot be returned.

  5. Copy the address, open your wallet, and initiate the transfer. Make sure the wallet network matches the selected network.

INJ is the native token of the Injective network, and transfers require gas fees on the corresponding network — the Injective network requires INJ as gas, and BNB Chain requires BNB.

When you're done: The transfer has been submitted, and the OKX assets page shows a "Depositing" status.

Prerequisite: You have enough gas tokens in your wallet. You can check the current gas price using a blockchain explorer before transferring.

Common reason for failure: Choosing the wrong network. If your INJ is on BNB Chain but you select Injective mainnet for the deposit, the funds cannot be recovered. OKX officially emphasises: selecting the wrong network may mean a loss of funds.

Risk reminder: Blockchain transfers are irreversible. For the first operation, it is recommended to test with a small amount first, then transfer the remainder after confirming it arrives.

3. Buy INJ directly on OKX (if you don't have any yet)

What to do: If you don't have INJ yet, buy it directly with USDT on OKX to avoid the hassle of depositing and gas fees.

How to do it:

  1. Make sure there is USDT in your account. If not, fund your account first via bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, or C2C.

  2. Go to [Trade] - [Spot], search for "INJ/USDT".

  3. Choose a market order for instant execution, or a limit order to set a price and wait for execution.

  4. Once filled, INJ will appear in your spot account.

OKX spot trading fees: maker 0.08%, taker 0.10%.

When you're done: Your spot account shows an INJ balance.

Prerequisite: Account has completed KYC and has sufficient USDT balance.

Common reason for failure: The payment method is not supported in your region. Different regions support different funding methods; refer to the options displayed within the OKX App.

4. Withdraw INJ from OKX to an external wallet

What to do: If you bought INJ on OKX and want to transfer it to your own wallet for storage.

How to do it:

  1. Go to [Assets] - [Withdraw], search for INJ.

  2. Enter your external wallet address.

  3. Choose the correct network: Whether your wallet supports Injective network or BNB Chain, pick the matching one.

  4. Confirm the amount and fees, then complete verification.

When you're done: Withdrawal status shows "Completed", and INJ has arrived in your external wallet.

Prerequisite: The external wallet has been switched to the corresponding network. Test with a small amount before withdrawing.

What to do next:

  • You already have INJ on-chain: Go to step 2. Send a small test transaction first, confirm it arrives, then send the rest. Before depositing, check the minimum deposit amount for that network on the OKX deposit page.

  • You don't have INJ yet: Go to step 3. Buying with USDT is the most straightforward and doesn't require worrying about which network to choose.
