How to Deposit SEI on OKX? Sei Network Funding Tutorial
Depositing SEI on OKX comes down to one core step: use the native SEI network. SEI is the native token of Sei Network, and OKX supports deposits and withdrawals on the native network. Never use a SEI token address on BSC or ERC20 chains.

1. Confirm Where Your SEI Is and on Which Network
What to do: Determine whether your SEI is not yet purchased, already on OKX, or in an on-chain wallet.
How to do it:
Case A: You don't have SEI yet. No deposit is needed; buy it directly on OKX. OKX listed the SEI/USDT spot trading pair on November 14, 2025. Simply search for "SEI/USDT" and buy with USDT.
Case B: Your SEI is already in your OKX account. No action is required. If you want to move it to an external wallet, follow the withdrawal process.
Case C: Your SEI is in an on-chain wallet (e.g., OKX Web3 Wallet, Keplr). Sei Network is a Layer 1 public chain in the Cosmos ecosystem. The OKX Web3 Wallet already integrates Sei Network; users can switch to the Sei network with one click to manage SEI assets without manual configuration. Open your wallet and confirm that the current network is the Sei Network mainnet — for deposits, select SEI network (i.e., Sei native chain).
When is this step complete: You have confirmed "my SEI is on the Sei native network" or "it is on another chain".
Prerequisite: Your OKX account must have completed identity verification (KYC); deposits are not possible without it.
Common failure reason: Sei Network is an independent L1, not an ERC20 token. If you transfer SEI from Ethereum, that SEI is likely a wrapped cross-chain asset, and the deposit channel may be incompatible. Always rely on the network shown in your wallet.
2. Deposit SEI from an On-Chain Wallet to OKX
What to do: Transfer SEI from your wallet to the OKX exchange.
How to do it:
Open the OKX app, tap "Assets" at the bottom, and select "Deposit".
Search for "SEI".
Choose network: Select SEI network (Sei native mainnet). OKX's general deposit rule is: the selected deposit network must exactly match the withdrawal network of the sending platform/wallet, otherwise assets will be lost.
The page will show a deposit address. Some Cosmos ecosystem tokens require a Memo/Tag; follow what is displayed on the OKX page.
Copy the address, open your wallet, and initiate the transfer. Make sure the wallet network is the Sei Network mainnet.
When is this step complete: The transaction has been submitted and your OKX assets page shows the status "Depositing".
Prerequisite: The wallet has enough SEI balance and sufficient gas fees (Sei network requires SEI as gas). The OKX Web3 Wallet supports one-click switching to the Sei network for asset management.
Common failure reason: Wrong network selected. OKX does not currently support deposits of certain digital assets on the BSC network; selecting the wrong network may make funds irrecoverable.
Risk note: Blockchain transfers are irreversible. For your first transaction, send a small test amount first, and only transfer the remaining balance after confirming it has arrived.
3. Buy SEI Directly on OKX (If You Don't Have It Yet)
What to do: If you don't have SEI yet, buy it directly on OKX with USDT to avoid deposit hassles and network fees.
How to do it:
Make sure your account has USDT. If not, fund your account first via bank transfer, credit card, or P2P trading.
Go to "Trade" – "Spot", search for "SEI/USDT".
Choose a market order for instant execution, or a limit order to set a price and wait for it to fill.
Once filled, SEI will appear in your spot account. SEI spot trading opened on November 14, 2025 at 15:00 (UTC+8) and is now trading normally.
OKX spot trading fees: 0.08% maker, 0.10% taker (source: OKX official website, 2026-07-08).
When is this step complete: Your spot account shows a SEI balance.
Prerequisite: Account has completed KYC and has sufficient USDT balance.
Common failure reason: Treating "SEI" as an ERC20 token and trying to buy it that way. SEI is the native token of Sei Network; the trading pair is SEI/USDT, and you do not need to select a network.

4. Withdraw SEI from OKX to an External Wallet
What to do: If you bought SEI on OKX and want to transfer it to your own wallet for storage.
How to do it:
Go to "Assets" – "Withdraw", search for SEI.
Enter your external wallet address. A Memo/Tag may be required in some cases.
Choose the correct network: Select the SEI network. Your wallet must support the Sei Network mainnet.
Confirm the amount and fee, then complete the verification.
When is this step complete: The withdrawal status shows "Completed", and SEI has arrived in your external wallet.
What to do next:
If you already have on-chain SEI: Follow step 2. Send a small test amount first, confirm its arrival, then transfer the remainder. Before depositing, check the OKX deposit page for the minimum deposit amount and whether a Memo is required.
If you don't have SEI yet: Follow step 3; buying with USDT is the easiest. Simply search for SEI/USDT on OKX and place an order.
