How to Deposit FDUSD on OKX? First Digital USD Funding Tutorial
Depositing FDUSD on OKX depends on where your FDUSD currently is. Simply put, there are two scenarios: if your FDUSD is on another exchange or in your on-chain wallet, use the "Deposit" method; if you want to buy FDUSD directly with fiat currency, follow the "Buy Crypto" process.
FDUSD (First Digital USD) is a centralized stablecoin issued by First Digital Labs, currently deployed on multiple networks including Ethereum, Solana, and Sui. OKX supports both purchasing through its centralized exchange platform and on-chain transactions via the OKX Web3 Wallet. Before you start, always confirm that the network your FDUSD is on matches the network supported by OKX for the deposit.
Prerequisites: Figure Out Where Your FDUSD Is Now
Before taking action, answer these three questions:
Where is your FDUSD? Is it in another exchange account, or in your own on-chain wallet (like MetaMask, OKX Web3 Wallet)?
What exactly do you mean by "deposit"? Are you looking to "transfer in from another wallet" or "buy some with fiat"?
Confirm the network: FDUSD isn't limited to a single chain. It exists on Ethereum, Solana, Sui, and potentially others. You must know which network your FDUSD is on.
Step 1 (Scenario A): "Depositing" FDUSD from Another Exchange or Wallet into OKX
What this does: If you already hold FDUSD elsewhere and want to move it into your OKX account, follow the deposit process.
How to do it:
Get your OKX deposit address: Log in to the OKX App or website → Go to [Assets] or [Wallet] → Select [Deposit] → Search "FDUSD". The system will show a list of supported networks (e.g., Ethereum, Solana). Choose the correct network, then copy the corresponding deposit address.
Initiate the transfer from the source:
If it's on another exchange: Log in to the source exchange → Withdraw → Select FDUSD → The network must match the one you selected on OKX → Paste the OKX deposit address → Submit.
If it's in your own Web3 wallet: Open the wallet (e.g., MetaMask, OKX Web3 Wallet) → Select "Send" → Paste the OKX deposit address → Make sure the network currently connected is the same as the one you chose on OKX → Confirm the gas fee → Send the transaction.
Confirm arrival: Check your FDUSD balance on the OKX [Assets] page, or view [Deposit History].
When is it complete: The page indicates a successful transfer, and your OKX account's FDUSD balance has increased.
⚠️ Critical reminder: Sending to the wrong network is the most common cause of fund loss. If you chose the Ethereum network, you can only receive FDUSD from an Ethereum address; if you chose Solana, only from a Solana address. The address and network must match exactly.
Step 1 (Scenario B): Directly "Buying" FDUSD with Fiat Currency
What this does: If you hold fiat currency (like USD, EUR) and want to purchase FDUSD directly, use the "Buy Crypto" process.
How to do it:
Complete KYC: Before purchasing, you must have completed identity verification (KYC) on OKX.
Enter the Buy Crypto section: Log in to OKX → Go to [Buy Crypto] or [Buy Cryptocurrency] page.
Select a payment method: Depending on your region, you can choose from bank transfer, credit/debit card, C2C trading, or even PayPal. Bank transfers usually have lower fees but may take 1–3 business days. Card payments and similar methods are typically instant.
Complete the transaction: Enter the amount you want to buy, confirm, and you will receive FDUSD in your account.
When is it complete: Your OKX account's FDUSD balance has increased and can be used for trading or withdrawals.
Step 2: Double-Check Key Information and Confirm Correctness
What this does: No matter which method you used, the final step is verification.
How to do it:
Check the network: If you deposited, go to [Deposit History] to see the status of this deposit and confirm both the network and the amount are correct.
Check your balance: Go to [Assets] and search for FDUSD to confirm that the available balance has increased.
Common Reasons for Failure
Network mismatch: This is the most serious mistake. FDUSD exists on Ethereum, Solana, Sui, and others. Funds sent to the wrong network are very likely unrecoverable.
KYC not completed: Some regions or payment methods require identity verification before you can purchase.
Insufficient gas fee: When transferring from a Web3 wallet, your wallet must hold the corresponding network's gas token (e.g., if you're sending FDUSD on Ethereum, you need ETH in the wallet).
Below the minimum deposit/purchase amount: Both deposits and purchases have minimum limits, as shown on the OKX interface at the time of transaction.
Risk Reminders
The cost of sending to the wrong network: Once FDUSD is sent to an incorrect network address, recovery is extremely complex and not guaranteed. Triple-check the address and network before each transfer.
Stablecoins are not absolutely stable: As a centralized stablecoin, FDUSD is pegged to the US dollar, but still carries risks such as issuer credit risk and reserve transparency risk.
How to Confirm the Operation Is Complete
Open the OKX [Assets] page and search for FDUSD. Once you see the balance has increased, you can trade, transfer, or withdraw.
If your deposit hasn't arrived after 30 minutes, use the TxID to look it up on the relevant blockchain explorer. If the on-chain confirmation is successful but your OKX account hasn't updated, contact OKX customer support and provide the TxID for assistance.
