If your borrow request is blocked, it does not always mean the platform limit is full. It may also mean that your personal available borrowing amount has been used up. To judge when the limit can recover, you first need to figure out which layer is blocking you.

OKX manages borrowing limits in layers. Two layers restrict users at the same time: the platform total cap and the user's personal account tier cap.
Step 1: First check which layer is blocking you
Open the OKX App and go to the Assets or Trade page to find the borrowing entry. If the coin you want to borrow shows a yellow "collateral limit" tag next to its name, it means the platform level is almost full. You need to wait for other users to repay and release limit.
If that coin shows a red "collateral limit" tag, it means the platform cap is already full. At this time, no user can add new borrowing in this coin. The only things you can do are wait for the platform to adjust the cap based on market liquidity conditions, or wait for existing borrowers to actively repay and release limit.
The red and yellow tags mentioned above currently only appear on the trading page. The borrowing page does not show this reminder. You need to go to the trading page and check whether there is a colored tag next to that coin in the asset list.
Step 2: Check your personal limit situation
If you do not see any colored tag, then the problem is most likely on your personal side. The limit is determined by your account tier and leverage multiple. For example, ordinary users can borrow up to 3,500,000 USDT.
To check your personal account's real-time available borrowing balance: go to Borrow Management or the flexible loan page and look at the maximum borrowable amount shown by the system. If your current borrowed amount is already close to that number, or if that coin has been fully borrowed out from the savings pool, you cannot continue borrowing. Confirm the gap between the current "borrowed amount" and the "maximum borrowable amount" to locate the problem.

Step 3: Actions that help the limit recover
If you want to recover limit, there is only one direct path: repay the coin.
If you currently have outstanding loans, repaying part of them will immediately release your "personal limit". At the same time, the platform's total debt will also decrease, and the red tag may turn yellow or even disappear.
If it is a platform-level "red tag", it is a platform-wide restriction. Repaying coins can indeed release some limit, but that released limit will be competed for by all users. In this case, after repaying, try borrowing in small batches multiple times instead of borrowing a large amount all at once. This gives you a higher chance of grabbing the limit.
