OKB fee discount records are split into two parts to find: first, "where to confirm the discount itself," and second, "where to view the transaction details showing how much was discounted."
First, let's clarify how OKB discounts work: they only apply to regular users (Lv1). Based on the amount of OKB you hold, the system automatically calculates a fee discount once per day. VIP users do not get OKB discounts — their fees depend entirely on trading volume and assets.
Entry 1: Check your "Fee Level" — confirm if you are receiving the discount
Verify your current user level and whether the system has factored in your OKB holdings. Navigation: Log in to the OKX App or website → tap the profile icon in the top left → go to "Account Center" → find "Fee Explanation" or "My Fee Rates." This page shows:
- Your current user level (Lv1 regular user / VIP 1-9)
- If you are Lv1, the discount percentage corresponding to your OKB holdings
- If you already hold a VIP level, the page directly displays the spot/contract Maker/Taker fee rates
Done when: you see your current level and the corresponding fee numbers.
Entry 2: Check "Spot Order Transaction History" — see how much fee was deducted per trade
Look up how much fee was offset with OKB for a specific trade. Navigation: Wallet → Spot Account → Order History → find the filled order → open "Details" or "Transaction History." The page directly shows the "Fee" and "Deducted Currency" for that order:
- If OKB was used to offset fees, the details will show something like "Fee: 0.0005 BTC, OKB used for deduction: 0.0012 OKB"
- If no OKB was used, the fee is deducted in the original currency (e.g., BTC), and no OKB appears
Done when: you find at least one order detail and confirm the fee currency and amount.
Risk Reminder
OKB discounts only affect "fees", not your "level." VIP levels are determined by trading volume and assets — holding a large amount of OKB does not directly give you VIP-level fees. Also, the discount is not applied in real time; the platform updates the rate once a day based on a snapshot. If you want to confirm whether a specific trade received the discount, the most reliable way is not looking at the account center level, but checking the actual fee record in the order details.
Common Reasons for Failure
Many people think that simply depositing OKB into the account grants an automatic discount, but OKX's discount rule is based on a daily snapshot of OKB holdings. The snapshot time is fixed, so depositing today may not take effect the same day. Another trap is "VIP users do not get OKB discounts" — if you are already VIP 1 or above, the system applies VIP rates, and holding OKB, no matter how much, does not give an extra discount.
Next Steps
- Go to "Account Center → Fee Explanation" to check your current level. If it shows VIP, the OKB discount does not apply; just verify the order details to confirm that the VIP rate is working.
- If you are Lv1 and want to confirm the discount is being applied, place a small spot order, and right after it fills check the fee currency on the order detail page — if you see OKB deducted, the discount is active.
- If you confirm you are Lv1, have OKB in your account, but the order details still do not show OKB deduction, check whether the trade belongs to a "zero-fee trading pair" — OKX has some stablecoin pairs that charge no fees, so no deduction occurs on those trades.
