Prerequisite: Confirm that "Withdrawal Protection" is Enabled
Before you start checking, make sure this feature is enabled on your account.
"Withdrawal Protection" is a security feature introduced by Binance that blocks all on-chain withdrawals for a lock period you set (1 to 7 days). The default lock period is 48 hours (2 days).
If you're not sure whether you've enabled it, open the Binance App, go to [Account Center] → [Account Information] → [Security] → [Withdrawal Protection]. If the page shows a countdown timer for the lock period, the feature is enabled; if it shows "Not enabled" or prompts you to set a duration, it means it's not yet enabled.
Step 1: Check Remaining Time via the App
What you'll do: Check the remaining lock period of Withdrawal Protection on your phone.
How to do it:
Open the Binance App, tap the [Account Center] icon (the person icon in the top left corner of the home screen).
Tap your profile and go to [Account Information].
Tap [Security] → [Withdrawal Protection].
If Withdrawal Protection is enabled, the page will directly show when the lock period ends.
Done when: You see the specific time when the lock period ends, or you see the status "Not currently enabled".
Step 2: Check Remaining Time via the Web
What you'll do: Check the remaining lock period on a computer browser.
How to do it:
Log in to Binance on the web, click the [Profile] icon in the top right corner.
Go to [Account] → [Security] → [Advanced Security] → [Withdrawal Protection].
Once the feature is enabled, the same page will display the lock end time.
Done when: You have confirmed the lock end time, or confirmed that the feature is currently off.
Step 3: If You Enabled "Allow Early Unlock"
What you'll do: Confirm whether you have permission to end the lock period early.
How to do it:
If you turned on the "Allow early unlock" switch when you enabled Withdrawal Protection, you will see an [Early Unlock] button on the same [Withdrawal Protection] page.
If this switch was left off by default, no one can end the lock period early during the lock — including you and Binance customer support.
Done when: You know whether you currently "cannot unlock early" or "can unlock early".
Withdrawal Protection is set to full lock by default, and no one (including yourself) can override it. This design is suitable for users who want to ensure their assets are not subject to any form of pressure or coercion.
Common Failure Reasons
Can't find the "Withdrawal Protection" entry — Confirm that the app is updated to version 3.14.0 or above (iOS users need iOS 16 or above).
It shows "Not enabled" but you think you turned it on — The lock period may have ended naturally (reached the set number of days), and the feature automatically deactivated.
You want to see the remaining time but forgot if you ever enabled it — Just go to the [Withdrawal Protection] page. If you see a countdown, it's enabled; if not, it's off.
Risk Reminder
Withdrawal Protection is an internal policy lock, not an on-chain cryptographic lock. It relies on Binance continuously enforcing the policy, but does not exempt the account from lawful law enforcement orders.
During the lock period, other account functions (trading, positions, etc.) are not affected; only on-chain withdrawals are restricted.

How to Confirm You've Found the Remaining Time
Open the [Withdrawal Protection] page and confirm one of the following:
The page shows "Lock will end at [specific date and time]" — then you have found the remaining time.
The page shows "Withdrawal Protection is not enabled" — meaning you don't have an active lock period, no need to check remaining time.
If you enabled "Allow early unlock", the page will also display an [Early Unlock] button, with a note that a security key and authenticator app are required to perform the operation.
