When you open the Binance website, a white screen with just 403 appears. No other message. That can be frustrating.

403 means the server understood your request, but it refuses to execute it. On Binance, this usually does not mean you did something wrong. Most of the time, your network environment or a browser extension triggers Binance's firewall rules. Follow the steps below in order. You probably do not need to try them all. The first step often fixes the issue.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Try Another Network

What this does: Checks whether your current IP address is temporarily restricted.

How to do it: Turn off WiFi and switch to your mobile hotspot, or switch back from mobile hotspot to WiFi. If you use a VPN, change your server location, for example from a US node to a Singapore node.

Success looks like: After refreshing, the login screen or market data loads normally.

If this does not work, continue.

2. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

What this does: Removes the site's locally stored data.

How to do it: In Chrome, click the lock icon on the left side of the address bar, then go to Site settings and Clear data. Do not clear all data for all time. Only clear data for binance.com.

Success looks like: After clearing, refresh the page and the 403 error is gone.

If it still does not work, continue.

3. Disable Browser Extensions

What this does: Checks whether an ad blocker or privacy extension is causing the problem.

How to do it: Open an incognito or private window. Chrome's Incognito and Firefox's Private Window are examples. In these modes, most extensions are not loaded by default. If the site works in incognito mode, a browser extension is likely causing the issue.

Success looks like: The site works in incognito mode.

Then return to normal mode and disable extensions one by one: ad blockers like AdBlock and uBlock Origin, privacy tools like DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, and script managers like NoScript. Some users have reported that the DuckDuckGo extension causes a 403 error on Binance.

If none of the above works, see the last case.

Fix for Normal Web Browsing 403 Errors

After the three steps above, most issues should be solved. If you still see 403, your IP is probably temporarily blocked by the firewall. Think about whether you refreshed the page too many times in a short period or used auto-refresh tools.

Solution: Wait 5 minutes and try again. Binance's WAF limit usually auto-unblocks after 5 minutes. Do not refresh repeatedly because this may make the block last longer.

Fix for API Request 403 Errors

What this does: Checks whether you hit the API request weight limit.

How to do it: Check your request frequency. The Spot API weight limit is 6,000 per minute. If you exceed it, your IP may be banned, usually for 5 minutes. For futures API, the rule is similar: violating the weight limit first returns a 429 warning. If you continue to exceed it, you may receive a 403 or 418.

Success looks like: Check the HTTP headers returned. If you see X-MBX-USED-WEIGHT-* fields, check whether your weight is used up. If it is, wait 5 minutes and try again.

Risk reminder: Do not use third-party scripts or tools to auto-refresh Binance pages in the browser. If Binance judges your requests as malicious, the block may increase from 5 minutes to several days or longer. Binance official support does not provide manual early unblocking.

How to Confirm the Problem Is Fixed

The 403 page should disappear, and you should see Binance market charts or a login box. If you tried all the methods above and still have the issue, try another browser, such as switching from Chrome to Firefox. If it still does not work, the problem is likely at the network level. In that case, use the Binance App instead.
