For new Binance users, the easiest way to locate your wallet entry is to remember: The [Wallets] button at the bottom of the Binance App is the main entry for all account types. After you buy crypto or complete a deposit, your assets will go to the Spot Wallet by default, which is the main wallet new users interact with most often. Other account types (Earn, Futures, etc.) work like separate sections next to your main wallet, you need to manually transfer funds from your Spot Wallet to these accounts to use their features.

Step 1: Locate the Main "Wallets" Entry

  • Goal: Find the main asset management entry in the Binance App.

  • How to do it: Log in to your Binance App, check the bottom navigation bar, tap the far-right [Wallets] icon.

  • Completion Check: You enter the Wallets page, and can see the "Overview" tab at the top of the page.

Step 2: Tell Apart the Two Core Accounts: Spot and Funding

You may see multiple account names on this page, new users only need to get familiar with these two first:

  • Spot Wallet: This is the most frequently used account for new users. After you deposit crypto or buy crypto, your assets are stored here by default. It works as your main wallet on the exchange, for daily spot trading. Tap the "Spot" option to view your balance.

  • Funding Account: This account is mainly used for P2P (peer-to-peer) crypto trading and Binance Pay (send/receive crypto red packets, transfers, etc.), it is not used for direct spot trading. It works as a dedicated wallet where you can store funds reserved for these specific use scenarios.

They are different from the Web3 Wallet: Binance also offers a Binance Web3 Wallet (also known as Binance Chain Wallet), which is a fully independent self-custody wallet. You hold the private key yourself, Binance cannot access the funds inside. Its assets and features do not show up in the Spot or Funding sections of the [Wallets] page, you need to find the separate [Web3 Wallet] entry on the App's [Wallets] page to access it. New users who only want to do regular trading do not need to use it for now.

Step 3: Access Funds in Different Account Types

  • Goal: Confirm which account your funds are in, and learn how to switch between different accounts.

  • How to do it: On the Wallets Overview page, you will see a full list of accounts including "Spot", "Funding", "Earn", "Futures" and more. Tap [Spot] to view all your held crypto assets and their balances. If you want to check funds for P2P transactions, tap the [Funding] option.

  • Completion Check: You successfully enter the Spot Wallet page, and see the full list of your held crypto and their exact amounts.

Common Issues: Why You Can't Find a Specific Account

If you cannot locate a specific account, it is usually caused by one of these reasons:

  1. You are looking in the wrong place: You are checking for the Web3 Wallet in the regular exchange Wallets page, or the other way around.

  2. You have not activated the feature: Accounts like Futures or Binance Earn sometimes require you to complete a risk control assessment or risk confirmation on their dedicated page first before they show up in your wallet list.

Verification After You Finish the Operation

After you confirm the correct account location, cross check the asset numbers shown in the Spot Wallet list against your buy order history or deposit record. If the amounts match, that means you have found the correct wallet entry successfully.
