Connecting DApps to Binance Wallet: Connection, Signing, and Launch Approval

To connect your DApp to Binance Wallet and complete the launch process, the core workflow is: Integrate Binance Web3 Connect SDK (use window.binancew3w.ethereum for EVM chains) → Run self-tests inside Binance Wallet built-in browser → Submit application via the Web3 Wallet Open Platform → Wait for quality control testing. Connection and signing are parts fully under developer control, while launch approval depends on whether you pass Binance's item-by-item check following the official self-test checklist. Audit results are usually released within 7 working days, but "application approved" does not equal "guaranteed display" — you will still get rejected if you fail quality control.

Clarify what you are integrating: Wallet environment and chain type

The integration method for Binance Web3 Wallet depends on two variables: whether your DApp runs inside Binance Wallet's built-in browser, and whether your target chain is EVM-compatible or non-EVM. This determines which injected object you should call, instead of using a universal code set for all scenarios.

If you build for EVM-compatible chains (BNB Chain, Ethereum, etc.), and your DApp is opened inside Binance Wallet's built-in browser, Binance will inject window.binancew3w.ethereum to the global scope. The standard connection practice is to first detect if this object exists, then call eth_requestAccounts. If the object does not exist, it means the user is not in the Binance Wallet environment, so you should guide the user to open the Binance App or provide other connection methods.

If your target chain is TON, the injected object is window.binancew3w.tonconnect, which follows the Ton Connect protocol (current version 2). When the DApp is opened outside the wallet, you need to use the HTTP Bridge API instead of the JS Bridge. Bitcoin and Tron also have their own independent providers or adapters, you cannot reuse EVM calling methods for them.

A common misconception: Many developers think integrating RainbowKit or wagmi automatically adds Binance Wallet support. Binance provides dedicated connector packages such as @binance/w3w-rainbow-connector-v2, you need to add it to your wallet list so users can see the Binance Wallet option in the connection popup. Without adding the connector, the Binance entry will never appear on your frontend.

Connection: Resolve chain mismatch issue right after you get the user address

Successful connection only means you get the user's address and current chainId. The most common subsequent failure is chain mismatch. Binance's official self-test manual marks Network not supported for this wallet as a high-frequency issue, which happens when the project site does not detect and switch to the DApp required chain when the user connects. The fix is not to wait for users to switch manually, but to read the chainId from window.ethereum in the connection callback. If it does not match your target chain, actively request a chain switch or show a clear switch prompt.

Another easily overlooked detail is listening to chain and account changes. Binance EVM provider supports accountsChanged and chainChanged events. If users switch accounts or chains in their wallet while your DApp is open, and you do not listen to these two events, the state displayed on your interface will be out of sync with the user's actual wallet state, and subsequent transactions may be sent from the wrong address or wrong chain.

Signing and transactions: Verify the final result, not just the popup window

The self-test checklist states clear requirements for signing: The signature value must be valid; for transactions: The entire transaction process must succeed, and the transaction can be verified on-chain. A signature popup appearing and user clicking confirm does not mean the signature is usable; returning a txHash does not mean the transaction executed successfully on chain.

For EVM chains, the transaction call method is eth_sendTransaction, you need to fill in fields including from, to, value, gasLimit in the parameters. You should verify the returned txHash on the block explorer to check execution status, instead of only printing it on frontend. Same for signing scenarios: take the signature value returned by personal_sign or eth_signTypedData, run a recovery verification with the corresponding address to confirm the signature is indeed generated by that address. If you skip this step, when users encounter "invalid signature" errors after launch, you can hardly tell if the issue comes from the wallet or your own parameters.

The self-test manual also shares a troubleshooting tip: if on-chain operations have abnormally high gas fees, you can test with Trust Wallet or MetaMask first. If the high gas issue only happens on Binance Wallet, it may be a Binance RPC side problem, you need to contact your Binance point of contact instead of modifying your contract calls repeatedly.

Self-test: Most Binance application rejections happen because this step is not done properly

Binance states its attitude towards self-test very clearly: Binance reserves the right to reject applications with low-quality self-test results. Self-test is not a formality, it is a rehearsal for the subsequent quality control test. Any problem you miss during self-test will also be found during the official audit.

You need to complete the self-test in the latest version of Binance Web3 Wallet browser, covering both iOS and Android platforms. The self-test checklist covers far more than "successful connection": stable connection with no page redirects; Binance Logo displays correctly on both Web and App sides; all transaction scenarios including Swap, Approve work properly; gas fees are within normal range; fonts and icons display correctly; all URLs inside the DApp can be opened directly in Binance Wallet; and the DApp will automatically switch to the user's current chain when supported.

There is another common stuck point on mobile: make sure the Binance App is updated to the latest version. Some login issues come from SDK state or network/VPN connection, not code errors. If your DApp uses WalletConnect as a desktop fallback solution, you need to know a known issue: after connecting Binance Wallet via WalletConnect QR code, the wagmi status may stay showing disconnected, and transactions will throw ConnectorNotConnectedError. This is not a configuration mistake on your side, many developers have reported the same issue. If you encounter this, prioritize guiding users to use Binance Wallet's built-in browser or the injected provider to complete core workflows.

Launch Approval: What happens after you submit the application

After you finish self-test, submit the application via the Binance Web3 Wallet Open Platform. Log in to the Open Platform, read the Vendor Agreement, click apply on the dApp page and fill in the form, including DApp name, URL, category, Telegram contact, restricted countries, English introduction, social links, publicly viewable security audit link, chain name and campaign hero image, etc. After submission, the status will change to "Under Review".

Binance will run the quality control test following the full self-test checklist within 5 to 7 working days after your application is approved. There is a key difference you need to understand: Approved application status does not mean your DApp will automatically appear in the Discover section of Binance Web3 Wallet. Only DApps that pass the quality control test will be displayed, the entry path is Web3 → Discover → dApps. Binance explicitly notes that only DApps that complete full integration (including correct Logo display) and pass all items on the self-test checklist will be listed.

If you do not receive any result after 7 working days, or the status stays in under review for a long time, you can follow up via the Telegram contact channel you filled in the application form. Binance does not provide a separate public appeal entry, the contact information is the one you submitted in the form.

Final pre-launch check

Before submitting your application, run this set of internal checks. If any item fails, fix it first before submission:

Check ItemPass Criterion
Connection stabilityConnection inside Binance Wallet browser has no redirects or disconnections, works normally on both iOS and Android
Chain handlingAutomatically detects and prompts/switches to target chain after connection, no Network not supported error appears
Signature validityReturned signature value can be recovered and verified with the corresponding address
Verifiable transactionsEvery sent transaction returns a valid txHash, and is confirmed as successful on the block explorer
Logo displayBinance Logo shows correctly on both Web and App sides
Event listeningaccountsChanged and chainChanged events can correctly update frontend state

If you go through all these checks, you will have full confidence when submitting the application. The audit team runs exactly the same checklist you just used for self-test, the only difference is they will not guess and cover the untested scenarios for you.
