Step 1: Find the Identity Verification Section
Log in to your Binance main account using a computer browser.
Path: Hover over the profile icon in the top right corner, click [Account Center] or [Dashboard]. In the left sidebar, find [Identity Verification] or [Identification Verification].
Completion standard: You successfully enter the page that shows your current verification level (e.g., Basic/Intermediate) and document status.
Step 2: Update or Re-submit Your Documents
After entering the identity verification page, you will see the status of your current documents.
Case A: The page shows "Expired" or "About to expire" There is usually a [Re-submit] or [Update] button. Binance may notify you 15 days before the document expires via email and in-app notification.

Case B: The page shows "Verified" and no expiry prompt, but your physical ID is about to expire If the page does not offer an update entry, try returning to the [Identity Verification] main screen, and select the "Re-verify" or "Update" option for your current verification level.
What to do: Some users may need to fill out a new contact information form first, or authorize via Web3 wallet (if supported), before proceeding to the upload process.
Completion standard: You enter the interface for uploading new ID photos.
Case C: Cannot find an update entry or the button is unclickable If the page is locked with no action button, it may mean your account is restricted.
What to do: Try resetting your identity verification. On the identity verification page, click the "Reset" or "Remove Current Verification" link at the bottom to clear the old verification information, then resubmit all details.
Completion standard: After a successful reset, the page returns to an unverified state, and you can fill in all the information again.
High risk warning: Do not casually click "Reset" to clear your current verification status unless absolutely necessary (e.g., the old ID cannot be recognized). Once you reset, your account will drop back to an unverified level, withdrawal and trading limits will instantly go to zero, and you will not be able to perform high-limit operations during the review period (usually 1–3 days). If you are merely renewing an expired document, just use the "Re-submit" process directly.
Step 3: Submit New Documents and Wait for Review
No matter which path you take, you eventually need to submit new materials.
What to do: Take clear photos of the new ID. Make sure all four corners are visible, with no glare covering key information. If your ID number has changed, double-check that the number you enter matches the new photo before submission.
Completion standard: The page shows "Documents submitted, awaiting review."

Common Reasons for Rejection
Blurry or glare photos: New ID documents often have holographic anti-counterfeit marks that cause glare, leading the system to fail recognition. It is best to take photos flat in natural daylight and avoid direct light reflection.
Information mismatch: If you got a new passport with a new passport number, but you did not update the number in the form when submitting, the system will reject the submission because of mismatched data.
