How to Troubleshoot an Invalid TxID Prompt on Binance

Before repeatedly submitting appeals, use the TxID to search on the corresponding blockchain explorer. If the explorer can't find the transaction, the TxID itself is invalid, and the issue originates from where you initiated the withdrawal. Follow the troubleshooting steps below, checking from source to system.

Step 1: Make Sure You Have the Right TxID — Don't Use the Wrong One

The TxID is the unique identifier for every transaction on the blockchain, typically a 64-character hexadecimal string. If you copied it from your Binance withdrawal history or from the transaction details on another platform, you might have picked the wrong reference number.

How to check:

  • Go to the transaction history on the sending platform (wallet or exchange). Make sure the string you copied is the "Transaction Hash (TxID/Transaction Hash)" — not an "Order ID," "Withdrawal ID," or any other internal reference number.
  • If the sending platform shows multiple IDs, the TxID is usually the one that can be clicked to open the blockchain explorer.

When you're done: You are certain the string you have is indeed the on-chain transaction hash, not an internal order number.

Step 2: Check the TxID on the Corresponding Blockchain Explorer — This Is the Most Critical Step

Using the TxID to search on the relevant blockchain explorer is the only way to verify its validity.

How to do it:

  1. Identify the coin and network used for this deposit (ERC-20 → Etherscan, TRC-20 → Tronscan, BEP-20 → BscScan).
  2. Paste the TxID and press Enter to search.

Three possible outcomes:

  • The explorer shows transaction details with a "Success" status: The TxID is valid and confirmed on-chain. If Binance still says it's invalid, proceed to Step 3.
  • The explorer says "No match found" or "Transaction not found": The TxID is invalid. The transaction never occurred on-chain, or the TxID is incorrect — contact the sending platform for clarification.
  • The explorer shows the transaction but the status is Pending or Fail: The TxID exists but the transaction isn't confirmed yet. Wait until it is confirmed, then try submitting the appeal again.

When you're done: You know whether the TxID exists on the correct blockchain and its on-chain status.

Step 3: If the Transaction Is Confirmed On-Chain but Binance Still Says TxID Is Invalid — Check the Network and Address Match

If the blockchain explorer shows a successful transaction but Binance still rejects the TxID, a network mismatch may be preventing the system from recognizing the deposit.

Two things to verify:

  1. Network: Is the network you selected on the Binance deposit page the same as the network of the on-chain transaction? If you chose the wrong network, the TxID is valid on-chain, but Binance's system will not link it to your account.
  2. Deposit address: Is the receiving address recorded on the blockchain the exact address Binance provided you? If not, the funds didn't arrive at Binance's address, so the system can't recognize them.

Some user reports mention similar cases: a transaction sent from an OKX wallet to a Binance address succeeded, but Binance didn't credit the deposit. When submitting the correct TxID, the system still showed "The information you entered is not in the deposit records." This is caused by a network or address mismatch.

When you're done: You have confirmed that both the network and the receiving address recorded on-chain match what you selected on the Binance deposit page.

Step 4: Use the Binance Self-Service Recovery Process (Only for Eligible Transactions)

If you've verified the TxID is valid, the transaction is confirmed on-chain, and the network and address are correct, but the deposit still hasn't been credited, you can proceed with Binance's self-service recovery.

Eligibility:

  • The on-chain transaction status is "Confirmed/Success."
  • The transaction doesn't involve a Memo/Tag error, or if it does, the Memo error has been determined recoverable.

How to access:

  1. Log into your Binance account and go to the deposit not credited appeal page (you can find the entry in the Help Center).
  2. Paste the TxID and click Submit.
  3. If the system recognizes the transaction, the coin and network details will auto-fill; if not, you'll need to enter them manually.
  4. After submission, you may be required to provide additional materials (such as a screen recording proving the deposit's authenticity).

Note: Binance's self-service recovery service charges a certain fee, the amount of which varies depending on the situation.

When you're done: You have submitted the recovery request and received a ticket number.

Common Reasons for Failure and Risk Reminders

  • TxID copy error: A missing character or an extra space will make it unrecognizable. Check for leading or trailing spaces and ensure the full string is copied.
  • Wrong network selected: Choosing TRC-20 but using an ERC-20 deposit address — funds will be sent on the wrong chain, and Binance's system cannot recognize them.
  • Appeal time-out: If the deposit occurred more than 72 hours ago, the self-service recovery entry may already be closed.
  • Wrong address: If the receiving address recorded on the blockchain is not the address generated by Binance at all, Binance cannot process the deposit.

First, use the TxID to check on the corresponding blockchain explorer. If the explorer can't find it, the problem is at the source — contact the sending platform. If the explorer shows success but Binance doesn't recognize it, check whether the network and address match. If everything matches and the deposit still doesn't arrive, submit a deposit not credited appeal through the Binance Help Center.
