How to Verify Platform Support for Binance Base Network Deposits

The simplest and most reliable way to confirm platform support for Base network deposits involves two steps: first, directly check if the "Base" network option appears on the Binance deposit page; second, search Binance official announcements to see if the token you want to deposit has completed Base network integration. A crucial rule: if the network list on the deposit page does not include Base, absolutely do not force a transfer using the Base network, otherwise your funds may be irrecoverable.

1. Check the Deposit Page for the Base Network Option

What to do: Log in to Binance, go to the deposit page of the token you wish to deposit, and see if "Base" appears in the network list.

How to do it:

  1. Log in to the Binance app or website, go to [Wallet] → [Deposit] → [Deposit Crypto].

  2. Search for the token you want to deposit (e.g., USDC, ETH, SAND).

  3. Check the supported networks displayed by Binance. If you see [Base] or [Base Network], it means this token currently supports deposits via the Base network.

  4. If Base is not in the list, it is not supported.

What constitutes completion: You can clearly see the Base network option on the deposit page (or confirm it is absent).

Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 network launched by Coinbase, using ETH as gas fees. Both Binance and Binance.US support deposit and withdrawal services for some assets on the Base network, but which specific tokens and regions are supported depends on the actual display on the deposit page.

2. Check Official Binance Announcements for "Integration Completed"

What to do: Use official Binance announcements to confirm the integration status of the token on the Base network.

How to do it:

  1. Open the "Announcements" page on the Binance official website.

  2. Search for "Base" + the name of the token you want to deposit.

  3. If you find an announcement similar to "Binance Completes Integration of XXX on Base Network and Opens Deposits," it means the token is officially supported for Base deposits.

  4. Binance has confirmed through announcements that the following assets have completed Base network integration:

    • USDC (July 2024)

    • RDNT (October 2024)

    • HYPER (May 2025, supports Arbitrum One, Base, Optimism)

    • SAND (December 2025)

    • ETH and USDC (Binance.US)

  5. If the token you want to deposit is not in these announcements, Binance may not have completed Base network integration for it yet.

What constitutes completion: You have found the official announcement or confirmed there is none.

Prerequisite: You have a registered and logged-in Binance account.

Note: Some "BASE" tokens are identically named but completely different. Binance exchange (CEX) may not currently support direct trading of a token named BASE; it can only be purchased via the Binance Web3 Wallet on DEXs. Before depositing, verify that you are depositing the token supported by Binance, not a counterfeit with the same name.

3. Special Case: Binance Web3 Wallet Deposit ≠ Exchange Deposit

What to do: Distinguish between "Binance exchange deposit" and "Binance Web3 Wallet deposit"—they are two entirely different paths.

How to do it:

  • Binance exchange (CEX) deposit: Transferring assets from an external wallet into your Binance spot account; requires Binance to explicitly support that token and network combination.

  • Binance Web3 Wallet: A self-custody wallet integrated within the Binance app, allowing direct trading of thousands of tokens on DEXs. But this does not mean the token can be directly deposited on the centralized exchange—Web3 wallet swap functionality is on-chain DEX trading and does not go through Binance's deposit/withdrawal system.

What constitutes completion: Confirm you are using the "exchange deposit" path, not "Web3 wallet swap".

Common failure reasons:

  • Confusing "Web3 Wallet tradable" with "Exchange deposit supported": Tokens you can buy in Binance Web3 Wallet are not necessarily supported for deposit on Binance exchange.

  • Mistaking other identically named tokens for the one supported by Binance: When searching, pay attention to full token name and contract address.

Risk reminder:

  • Network mismatch is the most common cause of failed deposits: If the Binance deposit page does not show a Base option, transferring via Base network may result in funds not being credited or even lost.

  • Regional restrictions: Binance.US support for Base network may differ from global Binance. If you see support on Binance.US but not on Binance international, follow the page of the platform you actually use.

How to confirm you've handled it correctly?

Log in to Binance, go to the deposit page for the token you want to deposit. If "Base" appears in the network list, it means the token supports Base network deposits to Binance. If not, use another supported network (like ERC20, BEP20, etc.) to transfer. For your first time, it's recommended to test with a small amount before sending the rest.
