How to Find Coins After OKX Wallet Hot Features Are Discontinued: Feed, Radar, and Alternative Workflows

OKX Wallet has discontinued several market features, but the ability to find coins has not been weakened. Feed and Radar are still available. Signal's Gems and Activity have been removed from the app, and Mentions is no longer available on the web version. If you used to browse new coins in the Surge list or Gems list, you now need to switch to Feed for social sentiment or use Radar to track profitable on-chain addresses.

What Was Removed and What Remains

According to OKX's announcement, this adjustment takes effect starting from app version 6.189.0:

Discontinued: Surge is no longer available on either the app or web version. Vibes' "Analysis" and "Hot Score" have been removed, while the Feed stream remains on the app. Signal's Gems and Activity have been removed from the app, and Activity has been removed from the web version. Mentions has been removed from the web version.

Still available: Radar is unaffected, and the Feed stream remains on the app.

Version differences matter: if you have not upgraded to 6.189.0, the related features in older versions may still work, but OKX does not guarantee long-term maintenance. Removed features will not come back, so relying on old versions is not a sustainable plan.

Feed: Using Social Sentiment to Find New Coins

Feed is currently the most direct information stream entry point. It is positioned as a way to "discover new trading opportunities," integrating real-time updates from whitelisted X accounts, community content, and sentiment analysis, all automatically displayed in your selected language.

Entry path: In the OKX Wallet main menu, select Discover, then check the latest crypto news and updates in the Feed section. If you are already on a coin's trading page, you can also select Feed directly from the chart interface to view news and X platform activity related to that token.

Feed no longer provides a "Hot Score," which means you need to judge for yourself which discussions are worth paying attention to rather than relying on a single number. This requires more manual judgment than the old Vibes score, but the information sources themselves have not decreased.

Radar: Tracking Profitable On-Chain Addresses

Radar is a core tool that remains available, and its use case is different from Feed. Feed shows "what people are talking about," while Radar shows "which addresses are making money."

The address radar works like this: you enter the contract addresses of multiple different tokens, and the system automatically finds addresses that have made large profits in multiple tokens. These addresses are usually classified as "on-chain smart money" because their behavior patterns show they can frequently enter early and exit after profiting.

Supported networks: Currently, address radar supports Solana and BNB Chain. If the tokens you are watching are on networks other than these two chains, Radar cannot provide corresponding address analysis.

The value of Radar is that it helps you narrow your observation range. You do not need to manually browse block explorers to find out which addresses are buying. Instead, the system first filters out a batch of addresses that have profited from multiple tokens, and then you can decide whether to track their next moves.

If You Are Looking for "Where to Buy a Specific Coin"

The above discussion is about discovering new coins and new opportunities. If you already know the specific coin and just do not know how to find it in OKX Wallet, the process is different.

Method 1: Search in the coin list. Open the OKX Wallet asset page, enter coin management, type the coin name or contract address in the search box, and click add. If the coin is already on a network supported by your wallet, it will appear in the search results.

Method 2: Add a custom token. If it cannot be found by search, usually because the coin is not included in OKX Wallet's default list, select Custom Token, choose the network, paste the contract address, and complete the addition manually. After adding, the token will appear in your asset list.

Key prerequisite: You need to first confirm which chain the coin is on, then switch to the corresponding network. OKX Wallet supports more than 70 public chains, and the network is automatically detected, but selecting the correct network when adding a token is still necessary.

Completion Criteria

The completion standard for finding coins depends on your goal:

If you are discovering new opportunities, the completion standard is that token discussions related to your trading interests appear in the Feed stream, or Radar returns a list of profitable addresses worth tracking. Feed updates are continuous, while Radar results are one-time, each new CA input produces a new batch of addresses.

If you are adding a known token, the completion standard is that the token appears in your asset list and you can see the balance if it has already been transferred in, or you are ready to receive a transfer. If the balance shows zero after adding a custom token, check whether the network you selected matches the chain where the token actually exists.
