If the OKX wallet authorization revocation fails, first check two things: whether the current network chain is correct and whether the wallet has enough gas fees. If both are fine, then consider whether the authorized contract itself has become invalid or was never on-chain.

Step 1: Make sure the wallet network matches the authorization chain
Authorization records are tied to the chain — if you authorized a contract on Ethereum, you won't see it on BSC or Polygon networks, and you can't revoke it there.
What to do: On the OKX wallet homepage, check the currently selected network.
How to do it:
If it shows "Ethereum" but the authorization you want to revoke was on BNB Chain, tap the network switch button at the top and manually switch to "BNB Chain".
OKX wallet supports networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and other major EVM chains. If you pick the wrong network, the authorization list won't show the record you want.
Completion standard: The network displayed at the top of the wallet matches the chain you used when you first authorized.
Step 2: Check if you have enough native tokens for gas fees on that chain
Revoking an authorization is essentially an on-chain transaction that requires paying the network's gas fee.
What to do: Check the native token balance for the current network in your wallet.
How to do it:
Ethereum needs ETH; BNB Chain needs BNB; Polygon needs MATIC (now renamed POL). If the balance is below 0.001 (revoking on Ethereum mainnet usually costs a bit more than on BSC), it's recommended to deposit a small amount for gas before proceeding.
If the gas fee is significantly higher than normal (e.g., revoking an authorization on Ethereum costs dozens of dollars), it could be network congestion — wait for gas to drop — or you might be facing a phishing contract.
Completion standard: The native token balance is sufficient to cover the current network's gas fee.
Step 3: Revoke on the authorization management page
Once the network and gas are ready, carry out the revocation directly in OKX wallet's authorization management.
What to do: Find the "Authorization Management" entry, locate the target contract, and revoke.
How to do it:
Mobile App: Open the OKX wallet app, tap the bottom "Wallet" or "Browser" tab, find the "..." menu in the upper right corner, and select "Authorization Management". The authorization list will show all approved contracts' names, approved amounts (be extra careful if it shows "Unlimited"), and last interaction time. Find the target contract, tap "Revoke Authorization" or "Revoke".
Browser Extension: Click the wallet extension icon, find "Authorization Management" in settings or security center; the operation is similar.
Completion standard: A signature confirmation popup appears; after confirming, the transaction is on-chain, and the record disappears from the authorization list or its status becomes "Revoked".
Common failure reasons
Using the search bar to look up a DApp name to find authorizations might lead to a fake contract. For authorizations you haven't used in a long time, if you're unsure which contract it is, look directly in the authorization list instead of reconnecting to the DApp through search. Another common issue is that the wallet version is too old, making the authorization management entry hard to find. Upgrade the OKX wallet app to version 6.84.0 or above.
Risk warning
OKX wallet integrates the Revoke.cash protocol, which marks high-risk authorizations with a red label on the authorization management page; it is recommended to handle these first. If the gas fee required for a revocation transaction is absurdly high, do not confirm it — this may be a malicious contract charging abnormal gas fees through the authorization operation.
How to verify completion
After the revocation transaction is on-chain, refresh the authorization management page; the target contract should disappear from the list. If you're still unsure, reconnect to that DApp. If it prompts you to re-authorize, it means the previous authorization has been successfully revoked.

Next steps
Make it a habit to regularly check your authorization list — recommended every two weeks or once a month to clean up unused DApp authorizations. For important assets, consider using a cold wallet and perform the same regular cleanup in its authorization management.
